  • A Miracle - My Story

I want to share this with as many people as possible. Before this incident, I did not believe in God because it was logically not possible for one to exist. But now, it is not logically possible that I should be typing this.

Two weeks ago I was biking at 20 km/h, I smashed into a bush that some neighbour didn't cut and had grown onto the sidewalk. Behind this bush was a pole that impaled my head. Two litres of blood poured of my head, and I somehow took no brain damage, and I'm still alive.

There is a link of how my head looked like after the surgery. After the surgery, I got out of the hospital within 4 days. I might be young, but 4 days is very short recovery time. I'm just hoping that people who read this will realize that there IS A GOD out there and even if they don't place faith in him he/she will come down and save them when bad things happen. For people who are interested of my long damn thoughts (and I mean LONG lol) here's my journal.

I just thought since I was given a second chance to live, I should tell as many people as possible....

Re: A Miracle - My Story

In Elementary School I did not believe in God because of all the bad that was in the world. Well, one day during a really bad blizzard, my feet slipped out from under me and my head hit a basketball pole. I woke up in the hospital with lack of memory of what happened and who I was (which came back to me over time). The doctors said I had a really bad concussion that extended all the way down the side of my head and into my ear drum. They said I would not be able to hear out that ear again.... A week later they wanted me to go see a specialist about my injury. The specialist looked at my x-rays and then did another to make sure.... I was completely healed and my ear drum was perfect. There was no trace of any damage done except some dry blood left in my ear.

Miracles happen. I'm glad you are still with us.

Ok, I know this forum is full of smart people. Please give me some info about this...I asked my friends and no one knows. This morning I took a shower, and suddenly this orange fluid started coming out from a certain part in the surgery. I went to the hospital...and they told me to keep it held up tight so that it doesn't get infection but this should be happening.

It's been twelve hours, my question is what the hell is this fluid and how can it be constantly flowing out for this long?!

It sounds like maybe the plasma part of your blood... Y'know, the clearish part that holds the platelettes in suspension. But since it's supposed to be normal, I wouldn't worry.

Anyhow, I'm not very knowledgable about medical things, that's just what it sounds like to me. I am so glad you are alright!

Wow... that, is just horrible. Whatever happens from here, I pray for your peace.

I'm not sure if I would trust a single doctor in a case like this, I suggest you go get a 2nd opinion from an independent doctor at least (preferably, someone with all them fancy certifications). But from my own experience, your body might have developed an abscess on your head somewhere, and the fluid could be pus. But like the poster above me stated, I too have little medical information-so whatever I say is pretty much suspect.

That doesn't prove god exist. Like we say in the self-defense world between a 9mm Parabellum and the .45ACP, shot placement is everything. There are people who have died from getting shot with pellet guns, on the flipside does that mean god is punishing them? It's extreme luck, nothing more.

Someone posts, glad to be alive, and stupid emo kid playing DRK comes in and feels the need to be a bitch.
If you want to debate the existance of God, this is not the place.

But wait- now you're very angry. You feel an injustice has been done against you, and you're completely enfuriated!

Ah right, I'm the stupid one for attributing his survival to nothing more then sheer luck.

Logical Fallacy: post hoc ergo propter hoc

And for the sake of argument using an example where death occurs from injuries where death is rare (ie getting shot with a pellet gun). Does that mean the whoever died from a pellet shot died because "god" punished him?

No point in being "emotional" when you can use logic to win debates.

You'll understand when you're in college and learn critical thinking.

Oh and FYI.. I'm 12 years older then you and 100 IQ points higher, Kid.
