Re: Avatar: The Legend of Korra

I'm sure there are torrents all over the place. The episodes are also on iTunes if you're into that. Wouldn't surprise me if the torrents are using the iTunes videos.

EDIT: iTunes probably hates you too, now that I think about it. You could always use a free, US-based proxy to trick Nick.com or iTunes. But torrenting it would be easier, probably.

        Lol

Deus Ex Happy Ending. Kind of saw it coming, still cool as shit. Very apparent they wrote it all before they were told they were given a second season. Hopefully more Aang in season 2. And Bumi. Needs more Bumi.

Also, the boat scene, that's not very kids show-y. That is some pretty heavy stuff.

          Then again so was Avatar.

Kids these days need it, I think.

Dear Mako: When a bad guy is in a body of water, please consider electrocuting him. Fireballs are NOT the appropriate response.

Maybe, maybe not. It is a hard thing to appropriately portray.

No kidding...He can lightning bend when he is being bloodbent, it would have taken no effort to zap the water.

Also, any idea how they captured the Nomad family?

I just think people need to give kids more credit. Kids can be scared. They can even like scary shit! Just look at Roald Dahl's children's stories (Matilda, James and the Giant Peach.) I think they handled it pretty well - all Disney deaths.

I figured they used planes, which were described as "high speed aircraft" by Iroh. Since they're faster than airships there's no way the air bisons would've outrun them.

Hmm I guess. It did provide good contrast to Korra, who also hit her low, but managed (albeit with the help of her past lives) to overcome it.

The bisons had trouble outflying the airships so the planes make sense. How they found them though, that is impressive.

Also, season 2 also needs some Kya. And Zuko's daughter/Iroh's mother.

Well, Lin didn't take down Amon's airship so they could've tailed them 'til the planes caught up.

Monday at some point between 12 PM and 5 PM. I always watch them after I get home from work so I don't know the exact time they show up.

I liked the deck guns they had on the battleships. I'm surprised they didn't think of that in Aang's time. They clearly had advanced metalworking.

I thought that was pretty awesome too. And Iroh was really manly, blowing up a missile in his face. It's just shame Bumi didn't fight. Who knows? Maybe the guns were Bumi's idea.

It wouldn't surprise me. He had < 30 seconds of screen time and he already is awesome in my book.

This may be minor, but Kuruk looked a bit different at the end. And Kyoshi looked short. Yeah, nit picking... Also, the water Avatar before Yangchen is wearing orange.

EDIT: Actually, looking at the scene again, after the row with Yangchen and Kuruk, the order is all messed up.

As soon as I saw this thread bumped, I knew it was gonna be that, lol. That whole Mako/Korra kiss at the end left a sour taste in my mouth honestly.

If my wife had written the comic, it would have been Korra making a similarly lopsided Mako/Bolin list.
