Re: Avatar: The Legend of Korra

I don't think Amon is energybending. I think he is Chakra blocking. The 6th Chakra is in the forehead and it is the Chakra of illusion. I think he is blocking that chakra and embedding the illusion they can no longer bend. Same way that Azula inadvertently blocked Aang's Avatar state when she zapped his 7th Chakra. Amon only places his thumb on his forhead; Aang was forehead and chest. Removing it is probably easier than Energybending.
I agree that he can't possibly be energybending, that's why I called it faux-energybending. But I figure if Energybending can take people's bending away, it can probably give it back too. Good call on the Chakra of Illusion bit though, though. I never made the connection.

Hmm, I should have reworded the energybending statement to make it sound more like I was agreeing with you. I wish I came up with it, but it was something someone pointed out on Tumbler.

I hope Lin still fights in the Finale. She is too bad ass to sideline herself.

I was hoping Tenzin would fight too. He's pretty damned awesome when given the chance.

Man, I hate that guy. I don't care who fights him as long as he loses. Or maybe I'm just sore the Equalists blatantly disregard the laws of physics when it comes to tasing people.

Maybe that water in the arena had an electrolyte in it.

There's still the time they shocked Korra while she was holding on to a steel pipe stair, the time they shocked the police through their armor and the time Korra was in Tarlok's metal cage.

Well, you know. It's magitech. It obeys whichever set of rules are most convenient to the story at the time.

then again, they really could be Grounded in some obscure theory. They are probably showing that Resistance is futile and they Currently have everything going according to plan.

I'll stop with the electricity puns..

It amperes you're quite adept at making those puns. Standing up to so many is beyond my capacitance. If I hear any more I don't know watt I might do. I think I might diode.

You guys are really pushing the forum's rules of conductance. It's an impedance to this discussion.

The lack of resistance to this parallel discussion has short-circuited the thread! If only the site employed some sort of cathode-ian to insulate us from this behavior. At least then me might be able to semiconduct our business.

To get this chain of electrons back on track, random question

                            Azula:

Did you feel sorry for her or did she get more than she deserved?

Nope. In fact, I felt she wasn't sufficiently demoralised. I wanted Zuko to beat her one-on-one; nothing else could've crushed that giant ego of hers enough to satisfy me.

I'm kind of wondering where I can watch all of this. I was originally watching it on Nick.com, but well... they don't like me anymore since I'm Canadian.
