Like I said, the guy just needed a better script (mind you, pretty much every villain in batman is batshit crazy in their own unique way)

It's too bad it's not Depp actually. He was so wonderfully coy as Jack Sparrow and would have made quite an interesting Riddler.

Jim Carey just conformed well to Joel Shumaker's concept of Batman, which is campy 60's bullshit and not relevant to the Batman of today. As such, Carey as the Riddler was just Carey being a spaz in spandex. Riddler can be a much better character than it was protrayed and written.

In the comics, The Riddler is a guy who wants to challenge his enemies, not assimilate the brainwaves of an entire city in an endeavor to become a super genius. He's not into world domination like Ra's or offing people left and right like the Joker, he just likes pulling big heists and wants people to figure out how he did them.

I'd hope a movie with the Riddler would be kinda like Ocean's Eleven Vs. The Dark Knight. A caper. Considering how The Dark Knight ended, Batman trying to thwart a heist while being on the run himself would be a rather interesting story and much more realistic than taking on someone like Ra's or the Joker again.

In the last two movies, you've put Batman up against what are arguably his biggest archenemies. Ra's was about controlled chaos and manipulation while the Joker was about total anarchy. It would probably be difficult to do other heavyweights like Hush or Bane at this point, so I think the Riddler would be a good pick overall.

I tend to worry when I hear a multiple villian plot in a superhero movie. It was the downfall to Spiderman 3 and other Batman movies. Nothing stole the show from the Joker and that's the way most superhero movies should be, though Superman movies could stand to do a little more than Lex Luthor.

As for Catwoman, I'd prefer her to be portrayed as she is in the comics - she's not completely evil, she just likes stealing stuff. She does have a do-gooder side to her. I really enjoyed the run of comics she had in the 90's spinning off of the Knightfall period, she had more of the classic look and most stories were capers or confrontations with the other baddies in Gotham. She does have moments with the Batman in comics, but the romance between them hasn't really been a lasting one. If they handle her more as a minor aside like Scarecrow, this flirty, evasive crook that helps Batman out here and there, that would be good enough.

I just wish I knew what WB was thinking when they made the Catwoman movie with Halle Berry. That was just totally a kind of Uwe Boll kinda flick. Hey, I'm gonna take this popular character and totally make it have nothing to do with the character you know. Brilliant.

I'm going off of memory but i read somewhere that Bale was going to stop doing action movies for awhile after Terminator Salvation...Again prolly false but i think i recall hearing it or reading it around the days Comicon was going on even tho Bale wasn't at comic con but the rest of the cast was...I'm still wondering what Common's Role is in the film. Maybe just a notable extra like in Wanted...really didn't have a whole lot of lines or screen time.

All G4 is really good for is reruns of cops and a hot gamer chick every now and then...

There was always sexual tension between catwoman and batman. Thats all they'll make out of it.........I HOPE. PLEASE PLEASE do not take it further than that....it never was and it never should be!

As far as the next movie goes, they have some big ass shoes to fill. They better get someone like Mr. Depp to do it. He has a cult like following plus he has the quirkiness to pull it off. He really gets into his characters which is exactly what they'll need to take our minds off of thinking "God I wish that Heath were in this movie...."

Please stop stop! Everytime I think of that move I want to cry.....honestly. I saw it in the theatre.....yes I PAID to see that hunk of shit. Half the crowd walked out about 1/2 way into it and I'm not exaggerating but I sat there and suffered through it. At the end, I stood up and yelled loudly....."That was the biggest hunk of shit and waste of my life ever!" I got way more applause than the movie did.

(My husband walked out without me he was so embarassed. LOL)

I tend not to take these early casting reports seriously. I remember when it was said that Nicholas Cage was going to be the next Superman and thank god that never happened.

But then, the Catwoman movie did happen and it had nothing to do with Selena Kyle, burglary, Gotham City or Batman. Totally lame.

I don't mind a slightly older Catwoman, but I'd say Cher would is very much pushing it. Bruce Wayne doesn't really need to have a love interest in the next movie, I mean, its not like Batman love interests ever last anyway.

Also, I think after The Dark Knight that its kind of a cheap move to have any potential love interests tossed Bruce's way.

G4 isn't exactly a reliable source. It's not even sure if Bale and Nolan will return for the next film, so I doubt they've solidified parts for supporting actors yet.
    Well, there ya go. G4.

The only thing G4 is really good for is the Star Trek reruns and I'm pretty sure I can get those elsewhere.

“He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years."

TWILIGHT YEARS!?? Honey the sun has set and its past midnight for that b***h! No amount of silicone is going to save her ass...........literally!

Don't get me wrong, I love Cher. I've been a fan since the 70's but you have to know when its time to JUST SAY NO!

I'm of the opinion that all the rumors concerning the next Batman movie should be put straight into the trash until they actually announce that they have started making it. As far as I'm aware, they haven't even started thinking about what they are going to do, let alone who is going to be playing what roles.

I heard they were considering Angelina Jolie to be the next Catwoman.

Personally, I think she would do a good job since she's really good at being a vixen, but I doubt any actress will ever be able to surpass Michelle Pfeiffer's performance.
