Ok =) Here is my new computer my husband bought me! I get it in two days yay! ^o^ anyway I was just wondering what you guys think about it, and how well it will run FFXI (this is a laptop and I know desktops are better for gaming but I like laptops b/c I can move anywhere in the house and still play with no cords attached but my controller lol) anyway here are the specs! let me know what you think!!!!

Normally I dont like Asus, but I am interested in how this system runs, it has nice specs, and plenty of ram. The video card is not to bad... but I am worryed as to the quality of the parts used, due to the price.

Well from a purely geek point of view, I'd get the top of the line everything every damn year if the logical old side of me didn't take over. LOL New gadgets, more toys, lots of power <insert male grunting noises here since I can't make them lol> is always in the back of my mind. I bought a $6000 15 pound laptop so I could play any games I wanted to on it......seriously I don't know how the hell I got this one past my husband either but I do regret it now.

I can understand the draw of doing it and IF you have the CASH to do it then more power to you. If you are putting any computer on a loan or a credit card, slap yourself because then you do NOT need it. A computer that depreciates so quickly is not something to be paying on for over 10 years.

Umm first of all I never said it was just to play FFXI, second Mhurron just b/c you cant get a nice computer like that since its so called "wasting money" doesn't mean you have to hate on other ppl who can =) if FFXI is all I needed the laptop for i'd stay on my shitty one, but once again this just go's to show your know nothing. Oh and one more thing I'm not getting those 2 computers for the hell of it, I'm getting them so they can last me a few years before I have to get a new one, but honestly I dont see a reason to explain myself but since I dont like being insulted for no reason other than jealousy I felt that was a time I should go against my own morals.
