My latest foray into a new programming language was with LUA last year.

Basically, the structure of the interface is XML and Lua, the language you were playing with. It's incredibly powerful and the stuff you can do to customize the WoW interface is just incredible.






The only new language I've picked up recently is Ruby.

There's another one I was looking for called Buffy but I can't find any links to it. The whole language is just various ways of writting buffy (ie. buffy, Buffy, BuFFy, etc)

The last ones I learned were C# and Python.

Visual Logic, Visual Basic 6/.NET, Java and C++
Out of them, I'd say VB6/NET were the easist to work with in terms of getting the results I was looking for.

A great site is esolangs.org, my favourite joke language is TMMLPTEALPAITAFNFAL which changes syntax every day. Another good site is 99-bottles-of-beer.net with lots of obscure languages.

I'm picking up Ruby. It's the first language I learn but it looks a lot less painful to learn/use than many others. Also, LOLCODE makes me laugh.

please. there's nothing particularly 'cool' about brainfuck. it's just a super basic turing-complete language.

it's not even the most basic of the super basic turing languages (OISC and Iota both have fewer total commands/operands.)

people who mentioned stuff like whitespace and single-word languages (woot is my favorite flavor but they're all basically the same) get some cool points.

now; a language named after a snake! That *has* to be cool.
