But yeah, StarvingArtist and Balfree are right, couple of episodes are a bit...different. I actually liked them, mind you. But you should stick with it a bit longer before passing judgement.

It doesn't get better after episode 4, it's just the presentation that does with the new director.

But if you didn't like the first 2 episodes I doubt you'll like the rest of the series even with the improved presentation, Lucky Star is Lucky Star, be it episode 1 or 5.

lol LuckyStar. I personally love it. From eppy 13+ the ending credits get even better when Shiraishi Minoru starts singing random anime songs.

Lucky Star has a lot of personal preference to it. Personally, I liked the first few episodes, but not any more than the later ones. I didn't really like the endings at all, because I didn't recognize any of the songs (ok, the guy singing on the cilffs was hilarious.

The middle episodes were probably my favorite, such as the ones dealing with the insane comic shop manager, or comiket. They were all enjoyable, though.
