Watching .Hack/sign just made me wanna play FFXI even more.

lol anyway, yeah .hack is very reminiscent of FFXI. Or any MMORPG really. I would love to play a game like The World. SWG seems the closest to it so far in the costomization (though not anime based) and just general community run society.

Well believe it or not, blockbuster and Cartoon network(and sometimes Sci fi channel) are my only sources of anime so... hehheh

nooooooooooooooooooo say it aint so lol oh well, yeah its that way for alot of people. Just one day ditch the stuff they show on TV and go for fan subs www.animesuki.com is a great way to get new fansubbed anime.

Yeah! Mimiriku(think thats her name) Is pretty good with that big sword, slashed the monster straight in half. And im pretty sure we'll run into some people like A20 in FFxi, who try to go to EXTREMLY hard dungeons or areas before they reach a sutable lvl.

I feel the same way. In my opinion it relates more to FFI then any other MMORPG. Ex: EverQuest

Sorry, but I'm going to agree that MOST dubs suck, and I have problems watching it if the character's voices sound like nails on a chalkboard(*cough*most anything on Toonami)

There are exceptions to this, Cowboy Bebop had a GREAT dub...as well as .hack//SIGN(well, Mimiru's voice kinda gets on my nerves x_x).

Not only voices, but sometimes general lines can get messed around with, don't even get me started with the horrible changes to jokes in "the Slayers" on the english dubbed tapes...(my friend had the dubbed tape of the first four episodes, I had the subtitled tape...I compared them...ouchies for the dubbed tape..)

The .hack//Sign on Cartoon Network is okay. Mimiru's voice does kill me though. She sounds older than she is meant to be. She's a teenager but she sounds older...to me anyway. I finished .hack//Sign approximately 2 weeks before it came out on Cartoon Network. .hack//Sign made me want to play FFXI even more also.

when i watched the whole seires months ago i also felt like playing FFXI even more, and for subs vs dubs i go with both i watch any i can get my hands on subs or dubs but i have noticed that they screw up voice acting every once in awhile on dubs but i still dont mind em at all

Movies/Sitcoms/Series with actors are just as unrealistic to reality as cartoons are. They're both forms of entertainment, just different methods of presenting it to the audience. Neither is more realistic then the other.
