What are your favorite anime/manga characters?

Samurai Pizza Cats is the shiz. I'd also like to mention that the live-action Onizuka is a hundred times better than the anime, the actor who plays Onichi is so incredible o_o I heard the final episode was one of the most watched shows in history in japan. Also, no offense Djephri, but I cannot concieve how someone could be even remotely interested in Zangief. I can't stand the fact that he exists x.o He needs some pants, too.

Also, Dias Flac (Koyasu Takehito-sama >o<) and Ashton Anchors were the only things, in my opinion, that made Star Ocean EX worth being made, as they were both great characters. Claude can die a thousand deaths

i see some people comparing Kenshin to Jubei, so what is Seijuro, chopped liver? and he's not afraid to kill people (unlike his pupil).

urd from oh my goddess. she's such a hottie. jehuty is my favorite mecha/orbital frame from zone of the enders. ryoga hibiki because i grew up with ranma and he was my favorite character in the series. gardenia from .hack because her japanese voice sounds so cool and she's such a fun character to use. chief chujo from giant robo because of his BIG BANG PUNCH, a skill so powerful that he's never used it (haha...but how does he know he can do it and how does he know of it's destructive power?)

I cannot concieve how someone could be even remotely interested in Zangief.

I'm not going to argue with you, but I will enlighten you as to how one can be even remotely interested in Zangief.

1) He wrestles bears with his bare hands... In the middle of a blizzard!

2) He can turn his body to iron and breath fire.

3) He can beat up Giant Robots. I forget wich ending to wich game this was, but it was cool. I think it may have been X-Men vs Street Fighter or the first Marvel vs Capcom.

4) He was caught in a tornado and dropped on his head, and he was just fine. In fact, it's where he got the idea for his trademark spinning pile driver.

5) In the SFA/SF0 anime he more than likely would've beaten Ryu had Ryu not pulled off his Deus Ex Machina that is the Dark Hadou. Stupid script that says "Ryu can't loose because the hero."

6) He always has a goofy look on his face.

7) His moves actually require practice and skill to perform, and for this you are rewarded with mad damage.

8) It always sounded cool when the announcer said "USSR" like "YUUUUuuESSSSessARRRR!" with all the goofy emphasis.

If you still don't like Zangief that's fine. I do understand the man needs some pants afterall. I like Zangief for who he is, not just for how he looks.

Yeah iv'e seen the live action version of GTO. the real life Onizuka is WAY cooler and yes the final episode of GTO: drama was THE BIGGEST TV event in japan history and for all those who don't know about Great Teacher Onizuka i highly recommend you check out the real life drama.

Gene Starwind in my mind is severely underrated as far as characters go.

As for Evangelian, my favorite there was the 17th Angel.

Kenshin is of course the man.

The gunman/priest I thought stood out best in Trigun.

Alternate Future Trunks was my favorite from DBZ.

I also really enjoy Tsatsuke from .Hack //Signs. and the Puppet Master from Ghost in the Shell.

But all in all, my absolute favorite would have to be Yurimari from Ninja Scroll, the guy with the string who choked people and then electricuted him.

Oh yeah and Kamui from X deserves a place in there.
