Tank from Cowboy Bebop, Wind from Naruto, Logos Naki World from Hellsing. And several game opening/endings, like KH2's Passion, FFVIII's Eyes on Me and FFX-2 1000 Words.

Another song I enjoy, but it's really more like I enjoy the anime intro.

1. Shimamiya Eiko - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

This one is really creepy and catchy at the same time. Fits the mood of the series and the OP animation perfectly. Easily the best anime song I've ever heard.


2. The Delgados - The Light Before We Land from Gunslinger Girls.

Calm yet powerful. Has a very special broken sound to it.


3. Kenji Otsuki and Fumihiko Kittaka - Dancing Baby Humans from NHK ni Youkoso.

The piano in the beginning is simply amazing. The rest is less amazing, but still a solid rock/metal song with nice lyrics.


These are pretty much the only ones worth mentioning. I don't usually like anime songs at all since they tend to be overly generic pop or light rock.

That's exactly why I hate most music in anime. The only music I've ever really enjoyed from anime was the score from Outlaw Star, and I didn't really like that anime at all aside from the music. Everything else is just lame, if I wanted to listen to punk rock I'd listen to the Misfits, not this..Faggotry is the only word that comes to mind. D:

I'd like to see an anime that uses some metal in it's soundtrack, that might be interesting.
