They probably changed it because it was too long, and they wanted to advertise it as 'The Movie' of a show. What I mean by this is, the movie takes place between a certain set of episodes, I forget which, but they want the movie to appeal to not just CB fans. By changing it to 'The Movie' people (non-anime and/or CB fans) if they see it, will realize it's a movie based on a show and therefore look up the show.
