that is true is some cases, like with hitler. though the question is, is it right for bush to go to war with saddam. is he that big of a threat.

I agree with you, Jason. Like Hurricain said, an example for a correct time of war was with Hitler. Of course, there were times in WWII when things happened which I think shouldn't have. The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, for instance. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people lost their lives for absolutely no reason.

I don't think we need to go to war with Iraq. We have no solid reason to, and our president has yet to sit down with Saddam Hussein and discuss the situation. Why not??? In addition, Saddam Hussein has done nothing to harm America since the early 90s. For all I know, he is not a threat to the American people.

I have mixed feelings for the situation in North Korea, though. I don't think I've heard a lot of things about it. But of course, if the North Korean leaders are planning on using their weapons of mass destruction against America, I believe some peace discussions need to take place.

I'm afraid that while this topic is about war, it's getting a little off topic from the whole thing with the relation of war themes to anime. If any moderators are getting upset about this, sorry!

yes the bombing of japan was a horrible act with countless live lost. though the japaness people were willing to fight to the end with the U.S. troops on their soil. if they a-bomb hadnt been used countless american and japaness lives would of been lost. (im not condoning the use of the a-bomb, just giving the reason behind it)

there is nothing to really fear from north korea. if they are stupid enough to lauch a nuke, then they better know that they are now screwed. once one nuke gets lunched the opposing country will lunch its entire stock pile, and the stock piles are huge. this way theres enough power to wipe out that country, because if you dont have enough power to take it out then you get used up most of you weaponery. the downside off this is the amount of nukes countries have is enough to take out the whole world. not good. so unless north korea wants the end the world they wont lunch a nuke. im my opinion the only reason korea was them is so they dont look like a small push over, in attempt of gain some power.

I would just like to say I think that the war on Iraq is just. Suddm is a threat to the U.S. or at least can be. Correct me if im worng, but Hitler was not thought of as a threat when he came to power, just after WWI, but as time grew (21 years) he became a world threat. And some say that we should just sit and watch as Suddam kills his own people. Didnt we declare war with Germany because Hitler was killing his own people? And I dont know anyone that beleives that WWII was unjust. Although people say innocent people in Iraq are going to die, that is not true. Also, in the last war with Suddam, only 48 Americans died.

BTW the reason assanation would be so difficult, even if it wasnt linked to us, is because there are quite a few "look-a-likes" that act, look, and do wat Suddam does.
