Reign : The Conqueror

Is Reign classified as Anime? It's a cartoon on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim but it's awesome. I've seen 3 episodes and it's so cool it actually has plot! Anyone else have any comments on Reign ?

It's pretty good if you've studied up on Alexander the Great. So I like the plot and whatnot.. but I really don't like the Aeon Flux character design and art. I think it's wretched, but maybe that's just me.

It's a good anime if you get past the fact that everyone has engorged caterpillars for lips and that they almost wear no clothes at all.

But, that's how the world was back then.

I don't like all the moaning Alexander's mom does because my mom is still awake then and I don't want her to think I'm watching porn.

Then again, I don't like hearing girls moan anyway.

Although there may be a story going on, the cartoon itself is utter crap, when the credits come up I feel sorry for them... and why does everyone where a speedo, I mean even there armor is a speedo... the whole snae thing with alexaders mother eludes me, does it acutally have someting to do with history, or is it just what they added...

Alexander's mother was some kind of cult priestess who killed Philip of Macedonia so that Alexander could take the throne.

Alexander does what he wants. And yea the snake thing is kind of odd it's like his mother and the snake are "in love" if you get my drift but even though the characters all look like women (except for VERY few) and they are all half naked it's an awesome story. It comes on 12:00 eastern I believe.

I like the end of the first part where Alexander lead his army. It just so freaking cool . And his demon horse is just awsome

i'm sorry, but i don't like the character design. it just creeps me out. the whole beautiful man thing creeps me out as well. beautiful men who love to show off skin. ugh. what's next? is alexander gonna start dry humping pillars?! haha, i'm too scared to watch this one.

i remember those aeon flux episodes, u know, the ones where at the end SHE ALWAYS DIES IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE. anyone remember the scene where aeon is jumping through an array of bars and is being chased by an alien because she took it's eggs? she got eaten. and the sound was kinda crunchy. god...i was kinda young when i saw that, so whenever i had to go to my room, i got shivers walking down the dark hallway because i kept thinking of that alien killing aeon.

i do remember those brief aeon flux episodes
every frigkin episode she died or got super duper hurt
i remember one where she like stepped on some poison nail or something and she fell off of a building and her plain or something saved her and brought her back to the base and this giant hellrazor type head just starting licking her feet
sort of in a dominatrix type of way
at the time it was freaky, still freaky even when i think of it

but to the point, i think reign is OK
i could watch it for a whole season faithfully, but the aeon flux type of drawing is bit daunty for me but cool none the less
