Who hear as seen the show or atleast played the game? I heard its coming state side real soon. What do you all think about it?
I think it may be a great show.

Oh god... its dead by the time it reach state... they changed techno-rap, they changed chars name like itsuki-iggy... and the opening has combination of initial D + Drag racing... god, they're making Takumi ghetto, lol i searched around and found the american version its sad... and yea i watched the anime, AE86 Hachi-Roku Fujiwara tofu shop, *The P.I.M.P mobile* but i want the Rx-7 FD same as Keisuke, oh and btw when it does come to the States, watch out... you might be hit by a someone trying to drift lol

lol wouldn't be surprised. I haven't seen the show yet. I'm hoping it wont be that sad atleast decent know what im saying? But even if it does suck I can always order the real version online and probaly for a better price.

I remember seeing some of that (fansubed) at the anime club at my previous college. To be honest, I was not overly impressed... Niether was anyone else, except the (very) rotund kid who kept begging for it to be shown...

I suppose if you enjoy racing stuff, you might like it, but otherwise the plot was kinda lame and the characters were pretty weak, at least in my opinion. There was also the obligatory and obvious use of CG for parts (not all) of the racing scenes. Don't know when the series came out in Japan, but I think that could have been done a little bit better. Personally, I think there's a LOT of other anime out there that you'd be better off spending your money on...

Then again, I'm not a racing fan, so who am I to judge? *shrugs*

Initial D was okay. While I was watching the anime it got me all excited about cars for a few weeks and then after I finished watching both seasons I progressively went back to not caring about cars. Again. The music in the anime was... really weird too. Lots of Engrish. What inspired the music artists to sing like the way they did is beyond me.

As for the Playstation games, it isn't that challenging. The way how cars turn in the game is nothing like how cars turn in real life either (which isn't that surprising.) To put it simply, driving in this game is like driving on ice with oily tires. I guess the developers did that so players can easily "drift" (I don't know if I want to call it that) without pulling off some complicated button mashing combo.

i love this show. i hate watching racing, i am not big on racing at all really. but this show got me so excited while watching it, i had to keep watching it to see what happened next. i ordered both seasons from http://www.discountanimedvd.com

I watched it with my friend kinda interesting, just sat back and watched it, and ya it does make you feel like wanting to drift.

I think playing the Arcade Stage game made me interested in the Anime...
both of which I think are pretty cool.

I really like it cause it's kinda like Kenshin with Cars...

I finishes season one and season2 only went for 13 eps? and now the only thing i have left is to watch the 3rd stage movie. IS there anymore out there cause if there is i would like to know.
