prefered subtitle fonts(how stupid can a topic get?)

yesterday was a bit boring so i was watching some of my anime collection, and i was watching Hellsing(english subbed) and found that i friggin hate the small white daily news heading style(cant remember the font name)
its difficult for me to read and it just plain sux, but im greatful for the subtitles, dont get me wrong
the bad subtitle fonts almost made me not watch the first to third volumes because i couldnt see what the hell they were saying even if i threw my face into the screen
so i just wanted to know what were some of u guys experiences with bad subtitles on animes
either it be font size, color, type or the fansub co., whatever...

The legal subtitle font is the normal yellow type. White won't show good in light scenes and black won't show at all in dark scenes, so it's only obvious why everyone's supposed to use white.

However, one of the worst subtitle-related experiences of my life was when I went to see Osamu Tezuka's "Metropolis" (excellent film, by the way...) at a theatre downtown. For some reason, they used white subtitles, which were quite small. It just doesn't work on a large cinema screen. In addition, there were a few snowy scenes in the movie, and I just had to guess at what they were saying from the few words I could see. :sweat:

I liked the green ones in a sort of cursive type writing ..

Um i think yellow font color is the best I HATE WHITE!:mad: its hard to read when you see bright places if the outter font color was back then maybe I can see it...

ughhh i hate white subtitles
it totally ruing the Escaflowne movie for me
not only was the sub a bad copy but the subtitles were tiny and white, couldnt see half the time
i like the yellow font, but i hated it in the old dbz fansubs they were huge and took up a lot of space
