Re: New Benchmark!
6252, so about 1k less than my original score - but that's because I was forced to use 1920x1080 resolution in the first one rather than my usual 2560x1440.
This benchmark doesn't seem much different from the first, really.Originally posted by YygdrasilYou make me want to hurt things.Originally posted by NanditoPonies.

Re: New Benchmark!
I'm scoring about 2000 points higher than the last one, ranging from 11,000-6,000. I was in the 9,000-4,000 range before. No hardware changes.Originally posted by Dux View PostSo what kind of scores are people getting with this shiney new benchmark?

Re: New Benchmark!
Yes, optimization was made (you should've noticed it right away, at least I did on my pc) so you should be scoring higher than the last, provided no change in drives and hardware. I'm going to run it again once I've gotten my new pc put together.

Re: New Benchmark!
Managed to get 8470(?) fullscreen-windowed and 8949 on fullscreen @1080p. Running with 2600k and 7950 (replaced my 560ti with it after my cousin decided to build a new rig--sold it to me for like $100, family discounts and all that.)
Seeing lots of people with 10k+ so I imagine those with higher-end GPU's and more modern CPU's (though I like to think my Sandy Bridge is still holding up well...) can hit those marks easily.
Edit: Oh yeah--settings were on max, though the differentiation in scores between high and max weren't all too great (like 200 points or something odd)

Re: New Benchmark!
I managed to break 14K on my system on Maximum and 20K on Standard Desktop at 1900x1200. Have an nVidia 690 which did most of the work as my CPU is an i7 950 which isn't a bad CPU but certainly not the best CPU out there.Last edited by Dux; 08-03-2013, 07:12 AM.

Re: New Benchmark!
My monitor max resolution is 1600 x 900, so in order to do the 1080 test, I had to put it into windowed mode. Very sub optimal. Not sure how much of a hit I took doing that.

For comparison, 1600 x 900, max resolution:

Re: New Benchmark!
That's cause you need i7 for video editing (since that's what you're going to be doing a lot of) and a good graphics card, probably in the lower tier of the high end (unless you are going balls-to-walls with Titan ... need a full tower for that though)

Re: New Benchmark!
The 770 is still almost twice as expensive as a 760, so just go with the 760 or wait until next year for the 770 to be priced the same :pOriginally posted by Malacite View PostOh fuck no, Titan is way out of my budget (for now).
I'm perfectly happy with 760 or 770, depending on what kind of deals I can finagle.
