Samurai Archery Level

I am planning on becoming on a SAM...probly... Anyway, i was wondering what level samurai have in archery. If anyone can tell me id greatly appreciate it. BTW if a similar post like this has already been created im sorry for duplicating it.

And i guess since im already posting a topic, would any of you mine me asking how FUN Samurai is? Thanks

SAM is C+ in archery.

As for how fun playing SAM is, well, it's up to you. I have liked it so far, had my gripes, but pretty much enjoyed the trip so far. I am taking a little break to level RNG a bit, but I plan on going back to SAM in a bit.

Archery is C as stated. Its also hella fun. The costs are reasonable if you only use bow to pull.

However, if you decide to get serious about archery or decide you want to get Sidewinder (which you can only have with rng sub), then be prepared to drop like 100k-250k gil to get Archery to 175 (you get Sidewinder at Sam 57 as oppose to rng getting it at 55).

About sam being fun: It's cool 1-30, but doesn't really become like "omg. so cool" til lvl 30 when you get Meditate. ^^

I had thought Samurai were A with bows? Did this change, or was I simply remembering false info.

Its C+ and its the 2nd highest Archery skill level (RNG beeing the highest ofcourse).

And if i remember correct, SAM does get the last WS for archery as well.

Actually, SAM skill in archery is capped at 230 at level 75. Because the quest WS is a lvl 250 WS, SAM cannot learn/use it (Empyreal Arrow).

So, do SAM get access to any bow WS? Or are they all RNG/? or ?/RNG ex skills?

IN Order to use the Bow WS you need to sub Rng or else you can't use them. And yes we do have a C+ in Bow. Porbably the only reason to use a Bow WS is for Sidewinder. But I guess we make ok pullers with our bows. We even get a special bow that raises Range Acc +7 for Sams only. Sam is fun you just have to learn how to play it (like every other job).

The new lv75 bow. Anybody know if SAM has to sub RNG for it? Or are they aloud the skill with any sub?

Good question...lol. It will be RNG/ or /RNG only, because that's how all of the others have been. Why would they change it now?

This is the new weapon skill that is given by equipping the epic, ultimate, (whatever they call it) weapon. I would think that no matter the subjob it will be available. If they didn't want Samurai to be able to use the weapon skill they wouldn't give them the weapon.

Sorry, wasn't clear, I meant the lvl 75 super-bow's weapon skill

I wonder why we Sams only get a C proffiency with Bow. If I recall Sams were pretty darn good archers. At least SE should allow Sam/Rng to get a B at least in Bow skill. C seems a tad low :/
