66 Rare/EX G. Katana?

Not really sure of the time, i just know that's it's lottery based. We were there for nearly 3-4 hours i believe between camping the Jelly NM and Shii. Not even sure on whether the Katana is a 100 % drop either but i bet it is.

Hate to bring an old thread up, but I attempted this lastnight, and was unable to find the spawn point. I had the in-game map, but when I reached I-8 I didn't see the placeholders. Could someone steer me in the right direction with these maps?



I've marked on this map the loaction of I-8 and possibly where shii pops? Pretty sure we walked thro here and there was only bats and those slimes?



Someone mentioned it the 3rd map? We went down here and the only mobs were those bloodsuckers. Travelled to I-8 and didn't see any Garm placeholders.

The dot they have seems to be a bit off. See where the dot is, try moving right just a slight bit to that dead end square. It'll be a room containing 3 placeholders (if all are present) and will have 1 or 2 trap doors within it so be careful not to fall.

LOL, noda I put that dot there XD It's not in the right place because I was trying to point out what grid I thought it wa suppose to be on. Thanks tho for clearing the location up

Nodachi, what level was your pt when u took it out? and what level are u? it is in i-8 little square on the right,correct? thanks alot, big fan of your posts ~,<°☼°'>,~

sorry for digging up this old topic but i have a few more questions. I finally got my ls go camp this, we spent 6 hours, (yes 6 hours) killing garm spawns with no luck. we were in a room with 2 trap doors and 3 garm spawns. This is where shii should spawn correct? we also spent another 2 hrs camping it another night and no luck... Would it be best to attemp it after a maitence? to assure it spawns?


I-8 on the 2nd map is where we were. as indicated by Eoyote pic. Wish there was some more info on this mob. Thanks for your help in advance, im desperatly seeking this NM for the sword ^^

Hmm believe we were there for around 4 and a half or so, constantly going back and forth between the jelly ring NM and Shii. I suppose doing it after a maint would be a good idea if it's possible but can't say for sure.

Coolffxi: we had so many various people i can't really say a certain average level nor amount of people. But Shii really isn't that tough so i'd imagine a PT of 70 could take it easily, probably even a PT of 65? not positive sorry.
