ugh, you got CT all wrong >< Frog's real name is Gharren, he was turned into a frog and hence was called Frog. The Masamune is indeed called the Masamune. In Japanese history there was a swordsmith that was very keen at making swords and I believe his name was Masamune or he made a sword called the Masamune. Thats the part I always get mixed up, but anyways...go play CT fool ><!!

The legend of Masamune goes like this:

There was a great swordsmith named Masamune, he created a katana. He had an apprentice that was jealous (or something like that) his name was Murasame, he went and created a katana also. And when both the katanas were put blade first into a river, the leaves that were floating in the river always went around the blade of Masamune's katana and the leaves always went straight for the blade of Murasame's katana and were cut in half.

I'm pretty sure that there's some things I left out but that's the gist of it.

I am well aware of the storyline of Chrono Trigger, and I am well aware of the legend of the swordsmith Masamune. I am just saying that just because somethings get translated for a NA audience a certain way does not mean that it is the way it is in the real story. Or do you really think Toma wanted you to pour his "soda pop" on his grave?

Katanas are created through the process of folds of metal. I don't know how many fold a typical Katana had, but a Masamune sword had about 1200-1400 microscopic folds. It was said to cut through any other Katana with easy.

Isn't it Muramasa and not Murasame? I think that Murasame was a completely different tale.

71 long bow for SAM and RNG.

LVL 71 LONGBOW? Are you sure its a LONGBOW and not a shortbow or w/e?

The best longbow in the game is Eurytos' Bow, which is like 71 DMG and 450-ish delay. Its level 50-something. Last time I checked AH, there were only shortbows after that (I think the black thing is a Master Caster's Bow or something O.o;

Nah it's a long bow - the damage is even greater than 71 i think it's like 74 forget and if you're sam you get an additional amount of attack. I'll check it again tomorrow. and thanks for the pic Xiphoid i still had yet to see it in game.

damage 75, delay 600. For samurai only: ranged accuracy+7. I don't remember the range attack bonus, but it's around 15. With 600 delay, it will probably give around 20 tp per arrow, good stuff.
if you can't find it in the auction house, it's at the very bottom of the ranged weapons, probably the second to last item on the list.
There is also hq one and it seems to be pretty cheap to make.

The 71 SAM who helped me with the quest had that very bow. Very nice looking, I'll tell you that. Made me buy a bow and start leveling it up along with my G.katana.
