Samurai quest is too easy.

so we were bored this afternoon cause our red mage was not 4 the team and decided to sleep or something lame like that.... so we couldnt XP =(

so the 5 of us (lvls 31-33) decided to go own up the samurai quest

our warrior tank of sux was all like omg ... maybe we will get owned cause the ppls on the boards are like say we need lvl 40 + for teh win

but we are all like stfu n00b ...

anyway we zone into kons. highlands and start building teh TP for the super skillchain of maximum pwn, our white mage got bored and decided to own some n00b mobs with his dualwield skills.

so we spawned the bomb. it died in 20 seconds
white mage was at 80% mana .. got bored and decided to seraph strike teh forger ..

we are all like .......

so in order to determine it was not fluke we did it again

again bomb died in under 30 seconds ...... sad


so we are power on to Zi'tah

along the way because our Warrior of Sux had the only map he had to drive. needless to say the sux was strong in him and we got lost >_<


while running around with NFI ... we are find some high lvls ... we are all "hello sirs do you know where the samurai tree is pls good chaps?"

one high lvl is like "yes but lvl 30 PT is cannot solo samurai"
(Bfw - Cerebus server .... pls send him mass tells )

we are all .....

anyway eventually Warrior of Sux' tidal wave of sux subsided and we managed to find the tree.



we spawned it and what did we find?

the Guardian hit for 40 damage .....

hi ..... 3 lvls ago we were XPing on mobs that hit for 60.

and this point we were so sad and felt so sorry for the tree
so we let the white mage tank.


we are still win tho ...... the white mage must have haxxed his DEF or something

As far as i know the SAM quest is supposed to be the hardest quest of all Jobs to do. What the heck is going on?
For what I heard a party of level 36+ recommand it.

I truly believe that FFXI is a game where great skill, amazing team work and strong strategy masks poor equipment. Our group has amazingly cohesive synergy and we continue to kill "special mobs" that others have suggested you need outrageously over conned groups to drop.

Our group is by no means well equiped, and in some cases it's quite the opposite with some people wearing rather crappy equipment.

The Forger was amazingly easy, the tree partially tougher. We fight mobs atleast twice as hard as this for xp on a regular basis. I wish we'd done the Samurai quest when I hit 30 =P

Realistically, I think you could do the Samurai with 6 lvl 30's without problems. The Ninja Quest is alot harder but still doable with 6 lvl 30's as well. We smoked the Ninja Leeches with a 30 War, 30 war, 31 thf, 32 thf, 28 thf, 32 whm. The Ninja Leeches are alot harder cause you have to split tank 3 mobs. It seems alot of people are making posts that you need level 40's to do the Advanced Class quests, this is so far from the truth it's rediculous.

Xal is the gnoma of owna. Without a doubt the best whm on Cerberus (even tho he's let me die a few times and goes LD while we are fighting IT's =P )

Tenacc, Hurrah and Sonova are without a doubt the best thieves I've seen on the server. They control agro without problem and keeps mobs on the MT without fail.

Laeron is once again the best rdm I've grouped with. Anyone who says rdm bring nothing to a group haven't seen a good 1 in action.

Shannara rocks! Shan is now leveling a Paladin which means I no longer have to MT for the group!!

All those people are on Cerberus, and from what I've seen they're the best at what they do. Our group owns and we'll continue to go out of our way to drop the "hard mobs" with small groups well below suggested levels =P We've decided that we'll try any named 10 levels before any other group thinks it's possible =P

you did the quest what whatever levels. The lvls are req cuz its less likely to fail at those lvls. If you can do it at lower lvls thats great but to say its easy its quite funny.

Actually we are RL friends, and we are masters of the world, so that's two things covered. The quest really was too easy, after doing the ninja quest this quest made me sad.

Why is it quite funny to say it's easy? We were just clearing up all the lies about how you need a level 40 group to do advanced class quests because it is all BS.

First off lets get something straight

We are elitist snobs. We make no apologies for it.
We are elitist snobs not because we are significantly more skilled that other players because lets face it, the skills needed to play this and in fact almost any other MMORPG can be imparted upon a trained monkey.
No good sirs, we are elitist snobs because we dare to attempt shit that others dare not. Do you know why we do it? Because there is absolutely no risk. What do you lose if you die? 400 -600 xp? We get that back in 3-5 kills. What reason pray tell does anyone have not to attempt these quests the minute you get it? Its not like if you fail some evil robot from PlayOnline is going to break into your house and fuck you up the arsehole.

The reason I posted the write up (in its deliberately comically retarded prose) is because all i can see on these boards are "OMG this quest is so hard, OMG you need more than one PT to win!" . To show that yes it can be, has been done and hopefully inspire others to attempt these quests and perhaps get a taste of the euphoria we felt when we pulled off the big W. And yes , also to show off our immense collective penis.

So all these flames ammount to is a show of jealousy by people who are obviously so entrenched in their own mediocrity that they believe no one is capable or deserving of better.

choyz , choyz ... why the hate? Is it because you have no real life friends yourself? Or is it because you fail to comprehend that we DO have real friends and a real life thus we cannot afford to spend 6 months slowly grinding lvl 40 on 12 xp/kill on mobs that are barely easy prey , kill a mob that was intended to be killed by a lvl 30 PT and then spend another 8 -36 months getting our adv. job to lvl 70.

The amount of doom and gloom on all the english FFxi boards regarding this quest made us think that perhaps it would put up a decent challenge. When we found out that it didnt all we could do was laugh out loud? Personally I would have prefered visiting the homes of all those who said we couldn't do it and beat them down with a suitably large phallic substitute . If only this were a perfect world =(

I can't believe so many people got mad at that first post. Personally I had to hold in my laughter at the Warrior of sux line since I'm in a computer lab right now.

People need to learn what a personality is, and use it more often.
