Yikes! Samurai quest!!!

I just read somewhere that to become a Samurai you have to be either lvl 50 to solo are have a group of 6 lvl 40's to finish both quests! Oh man oh man! Guess I'm going to be stuck as a War/Mnk for many many more weeks. I thought I could become a Samurai soon after hitting lvl 30. =(

Someone please tell me there is another way!

You were told right. The two enemies you need to defeat are pretty tough. Forger (the bomb enemy in Konstacht Highlands) is particularly nasty since his Self Destruct (if you let him use it) is amazingly powerful, and can wipe out your entire party.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Samurai is THE hardest advanced job to get. Some of the others may be time-consuming and/or annoying, but Samurai requires the highest level characters to complete (I'd say a bare minimum of level 36+, and even then only with a group).

It also helps to have a WHM36+ who can teleport you back and forth, and maybe a BLM40+ with Warp II to send you back to Norg when you're done. Otherwise this quest can take a very, very long time to complete even with sufficiently powerful charactes.
