Might not affect resists directly, but it sure seems to. I realize elemental magic skill does not change regardless of whm, blm or war subjob, but there must be some hidden effect with blm that makes nukes naturally more effective. Cant prove it of course, just what it seems like. Also, MB damage as /whm as opposed to /blm WILL be less given everything else is the same. With whm sub you have less INT, and I believe you lose one Magic attack bonus trait, although I'm not entirely sure, since the RDM one might override it.

Anyway, back on topic, you MELEE'd Ro'Meave weapons? Um... no comment.

I'm pretty sure you don't get any added Magic Attack Bonuses with /Blm... You just get the +5 more Elemental Magic with the Wizards Earring and maybe 5 more INT... Nothing obscene.

Yes I agree those are the only visible differences. I dunno though, try going as rdm/whm to an exp pt and nuke a bit. In my own experience, I notice considerable drops in both nuking accuracy and damage. Of course it could be my imagination or a fluke, but I've never had any luck in that area as /whm.

Interms of resistance, blind is the only spell I notice being easier to land as /blm. But that's not a spell I cast very often btw.

My MB got resisted about the same wether /blm /whm or /brd

Never have a chance to compare the damage between each sub. Always too busy.

I don't like having to cast refresh AND haste, but I wouldn't say it's the most challenging time. It's much more challenging, and fun, when we're getting constant links and actually putting my life in danger by sleeping mobs I like to get proper use from stoneskin and blink sometimes.

I have had a pretty smooth run to 75, I can't remember any party where I felt they wanted me to do too much. I got through Crab-levels in a static party though so I'm pretty sure that helped a lot

Weapons in Ro'Maeve does suck, I was lucky enough to get past that stage in two nights but I still remember how bad it was. One pretty nice thing about those partys was that the Pld used a Blink-band which was pretty neat

Basically I have experienced all of these and then some, Red Mage is almost a limitless job that has somany options of what you can actually do. You are busy every second of every party unless you're resting. In my opinion any groups/partys can only be as good as the red mage is in skill. If you have a crappy RDM you have a crappy party.

Oi. My biggest chanllenge always comes when everyone in the party, from the DD to the healer, uses MP, and EVERYONE expects to be first in line for Refresh. The only thing worse than that? Having everyone to Refresh(as opposed to maybe three MP users in the party), as well as being the main healer.

Very tiring.

actually in the late 60 an on. if you can get one good ninja tank. you will go bored out of your mind. refresh yourself an other mage. nobody else. no reason to dispel a dhamel, debuff it to feel useful, an cure every once in a great while when a dhamel pulls off 3 hits an a stomp with 3 shadows up.

I was in a RDM-NIN-BRD combination last night...big snooze fest...just had to haste the NIN, MB distortion, and cure IV the MNK twice after the opening SATA-DE.
