    Thank you.

Maat is an old guy in Ru'lude Gardens in Jeuno. If you want to see him for yourself, he is in back by the Duke's house. He will tell you to come back when you are stronger until you reach level 50, then he gives you quests in order to level past each stage, 50 being the first.

Because the game used to have a level cap of 50, then 55, then 60, etc, etc, they implemented quests to get past each.

The one I did was the final one, in order to level past 70. In this one, Maat challenges you to a one on one fight. Maat takes on the form of whatever job you are, and the fight as a RDM is supposed to be quite hard, although a lot depends on luck. I would say I had luck on my side. ^^

I doubt you could solo it. The mobs you need to fight would just hit too hard for you to get much skill in. With a group, I recommend Monastic Cavern. The level 70+ Orcs there will easily take you to 230 skill. Spirit Taker is a sweet weaponskill. I wish RDM had staff skill for that.

btw im not sure why i didnt mention earlier but for dgr skill ups
        Ceremonial Dgr is your friend,
        lvl1 dmg1
        sleep2>/attack>yawn>sleep2

        this is for skillups only,

for soloing the points i recomend CN's Helm Beetles, they have bad acc horrible atk, and are mp batteries for the mp drain ws, if theree is a pt there xp'ing thn you can just poach one and go at it for 10-15 pts per beetle,

if no pts then use it as an oppertunity to farm beetle jaws,

Actually, Gasgul, I got Dagger to 228 already, so i'm afraid I wont be able to skill on Helm beetles. I'll have to find EM or higher mobs now (71+) I'll just head to Monastic Cavern again with a couple of friends and get my 230 (caps at 232 for lvl 71) Then I can start quest ^^

my bad forgot to mention goto cloister of storms entrance,

the ceremonial dagger should hit and crit for 0 dmg hence not waking the steelshell crab up,
you can get to 250 here with no chance of dying other than going afk for 3 mins,

Holy shit what a great idea.

I assume this will work with a very low attack sword (onion maybe) as well, if I dont use any attack gear?

I actually put together a LS skillup pt last night and got dagger capped to 232 on Steelshells, and got sword to 228 (cap 232). I think I'll try that strategy on the steelshells. I'll dual-weild daggers (or swords) and use Utsusemi, so if I wake up crab by accident, blink will absorb the hits.

Staff skillup is incredibly easy if you are Rank 10 (or know someone who is). Simply purchase a Signet Staff (DMG: 1), find a monster of the appropriate level, Sleep II, and hit it all day long for 0 damage.

Of course, RDMs don't get any staff skill, but it works for Dagger skill using the Ceremonial Dagger as mentioned above.

If you are a part of a HNM / Sky LS... do what I did.. load up on + acc gear (bring mage gear too) and start bashing on aura pots, stuff for steam cleaner and the like. Capped Evasion, Sword, Dagger, club, all but divine magic abilities and broke sword/ dagger doing this.

Current project.. level divine.. currently lvl 142.
