Well, I thought I was reaching towards the end but no, I was wrong. It's just the beginning. LV70+ is when RDM really starts to show the real power.

yeah, it was almost a perfect victory and almost a total defeat at the same time. nothing like staring at a big ol 45 when you're casting sleep2. talk about LONG casting time.

I just beat Maat today... and it was a lot easier than everyone was making it out to be. And I even went on Iceday (forgot to look at the day.) Granted it was my 2nd fight, but the only reason I lost my first was because I forgot about the all-important spell Bind. Without Bind up he rushed me and hit Asuran Fists during my chainspell assault.

I first just went in and rushed to the BC, and cast Blink+Stoneskin. Unfortunately he got blink up before I got to Sleep him, so a little bit of binding/Sleep 1 had to take care of him. Then dispel him a few times, and started the Sleep II/Aero III strategy. I borrowed a Wind Staff and had Dark Staff for Sleep macros and Ice Staff for Bind macros. (Bind was my total key in this fight- keep this guy away from me was the only thing on my mind.) I played around with him for 3 Aero III's and consumed 2 Hi-Ethers in between. Then I slept him, converted, ate 5 hi-potions, Bound him, then hit chainspell and just hit 4 Aero IIIs and he gave up. My gear wasn't the best (I had maybe +13 INT? lol) and sleep was never resisted except for one Sleep 1. I did have moldavite earring and enfeebling torque, though. Aero III's all hit for 366 dmg with no resists. 7 of them took him down (total 2562 dmg). Only ate a regular melon pie. Had a Vile Elixer+1 in inventory but never had to use it along with 3 other hi-ethers.

BTW, easiest way for me to get testimony was to solo Ruby Quadav. Pretty high drop rate and the rubies/scroll he drops sell well, made up my medicine costs.

Tihi, maat was fun.

I lost my first, I'm blaiming the lack of windstaff, he was really low. ^^ (Only used hi-eth, yagu drink and hi-pot for foods)

Thing about maat is, if stuff starts going wrong, they go wrong fast. Glad to see another one hit the 70's. Welcome to the endgame! It sucks! You'll love it!

For me, the windstaff was the deciding factor.

Less resists, and 10% more damage. I went darksday tho, since I found landing sleep to be more important than a tad higher wind dmg.

If you have the possibility to get the wind staff, get it. Also helps silence those really-hard-to-silence mobs. ^^
