I finnally hit 40 and can use Electrum rings now. So...should I use those and not my 2 +2 MND and 2 +2 INT rings? The extra MP would be nice, but would I lose much from dropping the +4 in those stats? Or should I use the 40 MP and then switch to the stat rings? The latter sounds like the best plan to me, but if I wouldn't notice a difference, I could use the money from the rings . Those 4 rings could basically buy the second electrum, but if I need to keep them I might as well just farm the gil needed.

At level 40, maximizing your MP is very important so that you get the most out of Convert. To make up for the lost int/mnd, switch to wands, use food, and equip int/mnd accessories.
Some useful items to purchase at your level would be:
Morion Earring
Morion Tathlum
Black Neckerchief or Holy Aphulla(sp) - Depending on whether you have a MND problem which Elvaan usually don't have
+Int/+Mnd Wand
Pumpkin Pies
Red Cape +1
Electrum Hairpin
Druid's Rope / Ryl.Knight's Belt
And any MP+ or Int+ RSE Equipment
oh, and the we can't forget that Astral Shield
*Idealy you want to switch Int/Mnd stuff in once your extra MP is used, but I find rings just too troublesome to bother with.ZM Complete
Bard's Roundlet Obtained
Rdm LV 74
Crimson Mask Obtained

Apple Pies are +3 INT. And even with RSE I have less than others so why wouldn't I still want more MP?Originally posted by Rico
Your Elvaan RSE Arms, Legs and feet should give you around 60mp. Also you can eat apple pies 25mp +1 INT.

You can always develop macro's around the +MP and +INT/MND. Set it up so after you've used the mp that the + would of given you, switch to your +INT/MND then to give better effect to your spells after that. Then as part of the convert have it requip the +MP ones and then use convert to give you that extra in your MP pool.

A little off-topic, but how does MND affect enfeebling? Because, that's why what we mostly use it for, right? (most enfeebles are white/mnd based). However, when I load up on MND (+16 compared to +8 with MP equipment), I notice no difference in resistance rates. So much so, I rarely bother to use my MND macro. FYI, I'm at full enfeebling skill.

Depends on what enfeebles you're having resisted. If the enfeeble is a white magic spell, it uses MND, and if its a black magic spell, it uses INT. I.E. If blind is being resisted, then you need more INT. Which enfeebles are being resisted?

use all three sets..
RDM are only Full MP @ chain #0 and Chain #2,3 when you convert
no other times rarely you are full MP
so just use those rings for a free refresh then dispose with a swap macro....
do that and do yourself a favor of being a good rdm... and don't listen to ppl who use excuse like "I dont see the real point of having mnd gear... uhmm if you are nto at max MP why not just get some extra mnd.. does no harm only good"
Most people are just to scrubby and cheap to buy the extra rings

Woah, triple post .
Anyways...This is for the people who play as Human Female RDM.
For me, I have the following equipment
Fencing Degen (+1INT, +1MND and +10MP), and that club that gives +3INT and +3MND. I carry both around, switching to the club once I cap my sword skill.
Full RSE
Druids Rope - Waist
Fungus Hat - Head
Electrum Ring, +2INT Ring (Forgot the name  ) - Rings
Red Cape - Back
Holy Phial - Neck
No earrings at the moment, I'm saving for a Morion though.
At level 44, I have roughly around 700HP and 400MP. And I have +2 on STR, DEX, AGI. +3 on VIT and CHR. +10 on INT and +8 on MND without any foods.

This may not have dawned on our triple-posting friend, but most people I know don't HAVE 200k, unless they sell all their other equipment (and some not even then). It only takes about a month to farm that much though....
Maybe it's different post-60, but in the 30s-40s, there's no get rich quick scheme that actually works.
Besides, who has extra macro space for equip change macros? Not RDM, that's for damn sure.
Personally, I use one +2 INT and one +2 MND, and I've never had a problem with it. People who claim that you "need" millions of gil of HQ jewelry usually don't perform any better in actual combat - the stat difference is TINY and people who rely on their equipment... well, I don't want this to turn into a flame.
If you're elvaan or galka, you may need the mp rings, but as a mithra, I find friars rope, rse, electrum hairpin and pie provide plenty. I rarely run out before convert unless the party is pulling *very* fast, or I'm spamming nukes for some reason. Usually the whm runs out before I do, even with constant refresh.
Jewelry in general provides pretty minor bonuses (unless you count hairpins as jewelry). Don't worry too much about it. Keep good equipment, preferably an up-to-date wand (+1 wands usually aren't too expensive and probably worth the investment), any useful RSE pieces for your race, and a decent food, and you shouldn't have trouble.Defeated: Maat, Divine Might, Fenrir, Kirin, Cactrot Rapido, Xolotl, Diabolos Prime, Kurrea, 9/10 Dynamis Bosses (missing Tav), Promathia, Proto-Ultima, Proto-Omega, 4 Jailers, Apocalypse Nigh, 6/6 Nyzul Bosses
RDM90, PLD90, DRG90, COR90, SCH90, BLU54
All Nations Rank 10, ZMs & PMs Complete, AUMs Complete, Captain, Nyzul Floor 100 (5 Weapons, 4 WS), Medal of Altana, WotG Mission 15, 1/3 Addons Complete, 9/9 Abyssea Main Quests, 6/6 Caturae
