Ooh how much does it sell for in rabao? I might go head there if it's cheaper than 66-68k.
And yes i do have refresh already, lol that is the MOST important spell imo, for an rdm.
Also, off the topic, but what kind of equipment would you be wearing at lvl 48?

Is good equipment for a lvl 48rdm/20whm? I'm planning to lvl whm soon to lvl 25.

With maxed out fame in Rabao, Dispel costs 63k for me at the vendor. There's a slight chance it can be cheaper at the vendor in Windurst if you have max fame there, but I'm not positive on that.

It's pretty easy to max out your fame in Rabao though. Goto Jeuno and under Materials and Alchemy you can buy stacks of Boyahda Moss. If it sells for less than 7.2k then buy it and goto Selbina (Selbina fame is the same as Rabao fame) and keep doing the quest offered by Melyon, right outside the weaver's guild. You get 600 gil per moss given to him so it's a pretty easy way to raise that fame.



Your gear looks fine to me. You may want to look at some of the RSE pieces for the extra MP boost, and a wand for PT duties. If you find yourself with gil to spare, you might want to invest in some +INT and +MND ring sets as well for maximum enfeeble effectiveness.

I got dispell when I was lvl 30. Refresh when I was 35 (lucky that I am one of the new players costed around 8k). Dispell sells in Rabao and Windrust (when they are 2nd in conquest I think). Bought mine for 65k in rabao.

Savage gauntlets and Savage Loincloth (Mithra RSE hands and leg armor) is the 'standard' mage mitha gear til AF. Buy it or quest for it

I would say get electrum hairpin rather than gold. Gold costs 20k in my server while Electrum is 8k. Only 5mp difference. Also you might want to buy Enhanced earing. Its 5mp 5hp earing which is rare so it costs about 5kish.

As deodorant stated, getting RSE is a huge boost in your MP pool. Specially the legging and boots, and if possible the gloves aswell. If you are lucky, you can get all in 1 day.

After pestering LSmates for gil that they owed me, massive gilfarming with THF sub in Yughott, and lucking out greatly with mining, I managed to make enough gil for Dispel in one day (started with around 20k at the beginning of the day)

Phalanx is pretty much a solo-only spell right? That doesn't mean I have to get it until... 40+? Although it's a level 33 spell - -

my first rdm Jazaar learnt phalanxx when he was 65

my second Rdm Jerith learnt phalanx when he was 58

phalanx is ... completely... unneccesary :p it's 1 of those toys you buy when you feel like hmm im having too much money. I got both my phalanx from BCNM by the way :D
