Yes, Descartes is a friend of mine on Titan, and I've seen him use this sword in an exp party before, and it does indeed seem to keep hate well. Considering you can get this sword earlier than most other peices that have +Enmity on them, I would say it is worth the investment. It seems like it will work best in certain situations(like say PLD is a level or two lower than a damage dealer).
