Save the Queen vs. Espadon +1

I'm getting close to these levels, and I can afford one of these swords. Save the Queen is around 300,000G. The Espadon +1 is around 460,000G on Kujata. I want this to be the last sword I'll ever purchase in the game (I don't plan on getting a Hrotti or Joyuese anytime soon...), so this is definately a long term weapon. Any advice? I already bought a regular Espadon for 6,000G back in the day, just wondering what I should spend my money on.

65 40/240 Cover+1 latent effect: Acc +20 - d/d = 0.166

Espadon +1
66 44/257 VIT+3 MND+3 Attack+7 - d/d = 0.171

Based on d/d Espadon+1 is better, based on effect espadon+1 is still better unless your health stay in yellow/orange all the time and you can't hit without the +20 acc.

I chose Espadon+1 myself and I've been using it since lvl 66. I don't think I'll switch it to anything else until the day I get Excalibur.

I would just stick with Gluttony Sword, if you haven't got it yet, for most purposes in the game. Excaliber is nice and a nice "show-off" weapon, but I would never use it exp PT or certain NM/HNM fight.

However, with the choices you present, I would go for Espadon+1, for but practical and knight-like feel reasons.

I think I'm gonna go for the Espadon +1... Kujata is the strangest server when it comes to economy. =)

Midgardsormr is just plain expensive for all the stuff you want. Damn you Cactuar refugees! Why'd you have to pick Midgard of all servers!

Espadon +1 goes for close to a million or more on Midgard.

That's why a lot of the paladins on the paladin forum always make equipment changes into really big deals is because everything is so damn expensive.

I bought two for that price, and I got rid of one for the Mercenary's earring, and sold the pigeon back for 130,000 gil. I did good there.

I also bought a Master belt... but I realized it's useless for a paladin since our damage sucks as it is. I bought it for 280,000 gil, and I'm selling it for 300,000 gil now. Gogogo Life belt! Is Life belt end-game equipment? Also, how much is the General's shield on your server? On Kujata I bought mine for 150,000 gil.

Someone has been crafting pigeon earrings like crazy for skillups, a month ago they were 140k+, now, 85k and dropping, glad I haven't bought one yet, want to see how low it drops.

ok i was talking to plds in my ls last night and they told me that the latent effect didnt go off when your hp was low it went off everytime you used cover anyone know more about this? on my server the sword save the queen sells for twice as much almost as an espadon +1 btw what about wing sword is that a good sword for pld?

Wing sword seems decent at least stats wise. It has +2/3 VIT. However, depends on what you want, I think most will still go with espadon+1 if they can afford it.

Espadon+1 has better d/d, mnd, atk
wing sword+1 has lower d/d, str, agi.

Both seems like pretty good choice to me, I like espadon+1 more for not only the look but also the better d/d.
