How hard is Dark Spark?

meh, he's not that hard... an alliance is over doing it, but a full party should do the trick (well balanced). If you can get an alliance, more power to ya, easier the battle, and less chance of him exploding.

A full-balanced 6-member party of level 53's can kill it easily enough, really.

You just got to be carefull around it spawn point, and stay close to the center of the path, or you'll have demons coming at you one after the other.

And yes, a level 53 PLD can tank it... you don't need any high level to help you.

As for how much HP it has, well... a lot, since Bomb-types have low-defense, both magic and physical, and high hp.

Follow that exactly. I got myself killed and the rest of the party had to escape when I tried to rest on the side away from the big fight our party was already doing against 3 demons. Next thing I knew there were 10-15 demons charging straight at me. Wasn't pretty. :sweat:

The dark spark is easy for lvl 55 PT. The hard part is to travel from Xarcabard to the castle. Aggros will slow you down to a halt if you don't sneak+invis.

Make sure the PT knows the direction to the castle, some people don't have the map.

When you get inside the castle. 1 person lead the PT and 1 person stay at the end of the PT to keep everyone sneak+invis

When you arrive at the spot touch the 2nd torch from left-side to spawn the NM. 1-2-3-4 torches in a row and you want to touch the 2nd one.

Clear the area first then start fighting the NM before more mobs spawn there.

Can anyone tell me where to get a map of the glacier, Xarcabard, and the castle, Because I cant lead a pt to kill it w/out knowing ne of this. since most ppl wont have vzahl gate crystalunless they done genkei II we'll probably end up having to take the long way.

I had my Vahzl crystal long before this - really, people should stop leveling and go get all their crystals, saves a lot of time later on. I went with an alliance for this (would have been better off with a single PT, really) and half the people didn't have the crystal. Yay, waste of time...

Also, all of those maps are quested. Check allakhazam for how to do the quests.
