    I think NIN 2hr is fine!

    But, it would be nice to see some new job ablities, for example, manafont. Set the timer to a 10-15 minute re-use or so. What it does is let you land the elemental wheel for max damage, cause all enfeebles to stick (no matter what), and keep all timers set to zero (basically a chance to recast the stuff after the manafont type ability is used up). Also, the casts are instant and take no time for them to cast. As well as only being a one time cast, i.e. you can only cast thunder, fire, bline, slow, etc one time during the duration of the ability. Maybe make the JA last 15-30 second range.

        I don't think you're remembering that SE doesn't like nin tanking... the 2 hour is just fine, it fits with the class just fine, and it can be very useful if you can expect what is going to happen in a fight... if you know your chances of survival are low you can pop that with full hp and deal a nice chunk of dmg to the mob and possibly save your party...

        What SE needs to add for nin is throwing weapon skills... and somehow gimp tanking... give them an ability that say... makes all their actions accumulate much less enmity from the enemy... making them an awesome DD but a terrible tank, and it would all fit with the job pretty well in my opinion...

          As you described it, a Nin would have Perfect dodge every 10-15 minutes (utsu, utsu utsu JA utsu utsu utsu).

          S-E DOES like ninja tanking. At first they didn't but realized that we did indeed need another tank job. Also -- how many MMORPGs have a tank like ninja? Proactive tank instead of reactive. You can see by many things such as the Yasha equipment set for ninja and the release of several NMs that are practically built to be tanked by ninja.

          I still profess what I've said before -- make Mijin Gakure give the mob amnesia. basically, the mob has all hate lists whiped clean and will likely despawn if someone doesn't reclaim.

            ninjas 2hr is fine they need to fix thfs, wars, and whms 2hr.
            Thfs 2hr... idk thats only good for solo. wars 2hr uhh hit the mob atleast? and whms 2hr decrease the enmity

              I think they've just given up on stopping nin tanking.... I still don't think they want them tanking

              Maybe they accepted it cause they saw that WAR isn't tanking and it was originally designed to be one of the tank possibilities...

              problems are everyone who plays this game doesn't understand a job unless it specializes in something...

              Also... as is all 2 hours seem to be fine, they all make sense for the job and have a good use

              THF 2 hour wouldn't seem so useless if people actually say... I dunno subbed warrior with it... but as we can all see... everyone is far to reliant on ninja as a sub

              all in all I think ninja is just a lil overpowered... what other job can tank so well be a DD(when equipped for it) and is used as such an invaluable sub for so many jobs?

              hmmm... I think I lost track of my point here... I think I'll sum up everything I've been trying to say in this next word...

                This 2 hour ability levies damage that is inversely proportional in relation to the NIN's max health (Taking current health into account) and distributing it equally in a area of effect manner.

                Example ... Dusky has 23 hp left out of a maximum 1,250 hp. He uses his Mijin LOLGakure ability on 23 dynamis mobs and levies 23,000 dmg per mob.


                ... I guess SE won't make my dream come true.

                    Ninja is overpowered yeah, SE made it like that because they knew it would be expensive.
                    think about it mostly any job that is powerful cost money. well rng yea too but i guess they changed it a little.
                    Ninja is right where it should be. 2hr/ja/ws everything.

                        They like Ninja the way it is, they said that. They don't plan on doing any major changes to it either, other then the tp floor 'nerf' that is.


                        ...and they already announced that the thf two hour will be changing so that it does 'more dmg from behind' or some such thing on top of 100% evasion. If you've ever brought a thf into a BC fight (HA!) then you'll know just how useless it can be.

                        And something a lot of people seem to neglect is that a two hour's main function is to save lives in an emergency starting at lvl 1. All two hours (save the Blu one since no one knows exactly what it does) are designed to tip the scales of a close fight in your favor when used, whether in a pt or solo at any lvl. If a nin two hour relied on spells, they'd have a crap two hour until at *least* 15, if not then 40. They don't even get a spell until lvl 9, and that's just an invis spell.

                        Personally, I think Mijin sucks as a two hour as it can only do decent dmg if you use it at full HP. And many times I've seen it do pathetic dmg even in that situation. But the fact is that many times you could help your pt out more by staying ALIVE as long as possible. In BC fights, Mijin sucks. If you go in and blow yourself up at the start of a fight it's just harder for everone else. In an exp situation it sucks, you blow yourself up after the puller brings a mob you'll end up wiping your pt.

                        Ninja may have not been designed to tank, but that's what it's used for now. SE should redesign the two hour so that it *does* help the pt without the nin having to go boom with full hp. I think the best way to do it is to make the dmg based of the hp you're missing so you can tank for your pt as long as possible and blow yourself up when you only have a sliver of life left. In BCs it's useful and in pts it's useful. Dynamis Mijin will always be dangerous so that shouldn't be something people worry about in this regards but Mijin as it is needs some sort of tweaking.

                          lets stop about the nin wasnt meant to tank stuff. this was just a thread on IF they were to make a new 2hr for nin, what you want it to be. Just for shits and giggles. so all the plds, wars, and anti-nin tanks out there, breathe in...... breathe out.

                            I dont see the problem. Ninja has one of the best 2 hours in the game. Every other jobs 2 hour is used in an attempt to prevent dieing and losing experiance. Every other job, after they use their 2 hour may still lose some Experiance. While a ninja... is garenteed not to lose any experiance. That is crazy! Why fix something that isn't broken

                              I agree. This was for fun, maybe even some seriousness in making the 2hr more party beneficial, like they were going to do for THFs.

                              I honestly don't see what's the need for all this nin-hate in this thread, of all threads.

                                dood, really. its not about fixing it. its just for fun. people, if you're going to comment on something, read the whole thread not just the last 2-3 posts. its just like saying how drk might want a new 2hr and if they were to be, what would it be. its just hypotheticals. even if this was a serious thread, what good does it really do nin? nada. we're just kicking the can around. most of us are bored at work, humor us.
