I saw another new kote on a NIN which IMO is a lot better. I'm sorry I don't know the name but I believe it was also level 34, it gave attack+15, now I know och is +20 but you also lose 5 eva. For nin wouldn't 5 eva>>>5 attack? I just though that would be a good alternative. I have no idea how to get it though, nor have I ever seen one on the AH. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. ><

It all depends on the ninja. Honestly -5 evasion is not so bad in exp pt, where as soloing you will notice -5 evasion. IT++ will hardly miss etc. Plus as with anything in this game O kote, bandomusha kote, horumusha kote...they are all excellent starter equip for attack build nin ( yes attack build nin can tank just as good but not solo as well as evade build nin) Currently im workin on my nin again and when im finished ill have +15 str +81 attack and +44 acc. M evade build nin was so boring that i stripped it. Nin is capable of high numbers and good tanking all in one if you keep your str>atk>acc ratio right and maaayybe a bit of haste to ease IT+ tanking

            Back to the topic

711Rocks, yeah I saw that Kote too ^^ I was like hey it's pretty nice, but then there are 2 NINs in my PT so -5 evasion is not going to hurt me at all when the other NIN can provoke as needed for me to recast. I might even venture to say we could full tank something that will never miss for a while, but that's never going to happen ^^ We're bound to dodge some blows here and there hehe

I agree with Mitsu and I'm trying to go the route of ATK over Evasion (but with a balance), again because there are 2 NINs in the PT and I want to make the most out of each NIN. Dont' get me wrong. So far in a PT of 5 ( RDM, WHM, 2 NIN, 1 THF )we're exp chaining to 4 for around 250 exp.

            Update ^^
            0/10
            ( 0 drops , 10 claims )

Man is that Quu guy stingy ROFL ^^ Oh the funny thing is when most of my LS came to help like 6 people. I think they called in more reinforcements ^^ It was pretty funny, and we had a few hypothesis

            1) Maybe if we bring in more people they'll bring more too and open up other areas

            2) Hey, since they get paid to do this. What if we were able to claim most of the NMs so they were low efficient employess. Maybe they'd get fired and be rehired by less expereicned guys ^^

Well just a few thoughts that we had ^^

I'd like to add that my nin tank wore a haubergeon while tanking toramas.....and it helped a ton, even with the evade- and AGI-

                yea the nm in oz are really stingy. ; ;

oh~!! i thought this day would never come but, i have finally capped my throwing! i regret neglecting throwing as i was lvling up and my throwing was way way behind. i tried skilling it up at times, getting 15pt gains at a time but the gap never seemed to get any smaller. anyhow, i was at about 190/227 throwing last week. the drk that i set with needed to raise his gsword skill since he just hit 66. we found that newton molvalpolos is a great place to skill 190ish to 230. at 66, the goblins/moblins were dc-t with exception of the bugbear watchmen. but just my luck, no one makes manji shuriken on remora ; ; 99 manji havent even gone up for sale yet since there isnt a entry in the ah

zempten: i think if u got a rng, you would be able to chain 5 no prob! looks like youre dmg output is lacking, rng - thf renkei will pretty much take about 1/2 life or more sometimes. gl on ur nm camping!

                  hehehe, thanks.

My damage output is lacking? or my PTs damage output is lacking?

hehehe, well Hauberg is also expensive, but thanks for the heads up. I'm glad to know their are other options out there. Hopefully I'll be able to raise the funds for either a Scorp. Harness or Hauberg by the time i hit 58 ^^

                    • Well.......we're about to get a summoner into our PT....so I'll tell you how that goes ^^

Anyways, I had another question. Does Haste effect from the Fuma only require you to be wearing them for them to take effect? As in for it to cut down the time of Utsusemi? Cause I was thinking about wearing the Fuma only when casting Utsusemi and then going back to my Kyahn Fuma for the +4 to attack, or would it be better to just wear the fuma full time?

                      Comment

                      • ohh good question~ i wouldnt know how tha would work...

im guessing that it only goes into affect when you cast utsusemi and the timer has been reset. i dont think if you put fuma or got haste in the middle of your timer, it would cut seconds off it. that is my guess...

personally, i really hate macroing things in and out but thats just me. i try to avoid it as much as possible. i have a throwing macro now for my ninja, where it equips ninja tekko and rng acc rings as well as swaping in juji shurikens. also another macro that resets my equip to my usual setup. i dont like it b/c you temproarily disappear from screen as well as lose lock on target, i guess its all mental but it just screws with my rhythm.

if u dont mind having to swap things in and out, id say go for it! do some testing on your own and see if it affects ur timer and all.

                        • I don't like macroing visible equipment slots because it resets the targeting for a mage if they are trying to cast something on you.
Playing a WHM once upon a time I found this really annoying trying to haste/cure people. If you gear swap when you are in trouble and you need a heal, well it just might get you killed.

                          • That's a good point. I've had the same issue when playing on my RDM.

I also am wondering do NIN's use the Haste from the fuma just for the spell casting? or does it also effect meeleing a bit?

i'm back to leveling my ninja, and now that sole and squid sushi are confirmed to give you a incredible boost to ranged accuracy.

man zemp and omni im only level 28 now (lol 2 levels in how many weeks lol) but w/ dual archers im sure my ranged accuracy is gonna get better.

i hit just like a ranger, and because using guns for a rng at this level is a waste of gil, not so much for a nin, since i sub the cost of all powers but blind and utsu for bullets.
Why be like someone famous when you can be like me.
