No you are wrong. With NIN tank, less hate on the NIN< but also mean less hate on WHM. Imagine what if your PLD die? before he die mage pour all their MP to heal him, and when he dies, mages get the 2nd highest hate, not to mention is hard for back up tank to tank alone as a PLD< or get hate back from the mages.
Anyways, i enjoy to see easier way to kill God like Seriyu or Byakko than stress out for MP and HP on PLD and mages.

Tank PT of:
PLD/WAR, PLD/WAR, WHM/SMN, WHM/SMN, RDM/WHM, BRD/SMN.
Say hello to your new NIN tank. Also less prone to dying in one hit (that's when hate gets really messed up). Also able to keep hate off of those WHM, RNG and BLM, so they can up the notch in damage (though usually towards the latter third of a Fafnir fight the RNG are usually tanking anyway but meh..)
The only time I really don't find this party setup to be the best is Kirin for kiting, and King Behemoth for kiting. As I said, Ninjas CAN do the other HNM but it honestly makes it harder since they are very prone to dying in extremely short periods of time and can't generate the hate that a PLD can (without resorting to using like 50k of Nijutsu tools a fight). We had a Ninja tank Aspido, and he did great, but by the end of the fight he had used like 100-125k worth of Ninjutsu just trying to keep hate.
