I've been toying with the idea of staying a war until maybe 60 and just sub ninja...dual sword not katana not to mention warrior has double strike and a high succession rate at that

Dalmonth, interesting idea. Would you still play the role as a tank? I think at 74/37 WAR/NIN would be a great tank, using Utsusemi:Ni and Full Break

However, if you're planning on using NIN sub just to dual wield weapons... I don't know, it's your call. But realize that NIN gets better Dual Wields at levels 30, 50, and 70 (and with AF), whereas the most a WAR/NIN can hope for is the level 30 one. Like I said in my previous post, the biggest dual wield haste increase comes from the level 50 one, so you'll really be missing out. Besides, most higher level parties desire the WAR to use Shield Break to lower the monster's evade... I don't think they would like you dual wielding weapons.

But again, to each his own. My advice, if you still want to dual wield weapons with a WAR/NIN is to use 2 axes instead of 2 swords. Axe is an A- skill for WAR (sword is B) and you will really start to notice the difference at higher levels (even at level 40 it should be a 4-5 level difference). Higher weapon level = better attack and better accuracy. Plus Rampage is a great WS

trick attack and Heaven = 1100 damage on IT mobs.

i use it 3 times per mob.

i miss about 1/6 times on mobs that are high evasion to the drks i party with. i builld TP faster than samurai's my level. My nukes hit for 80-100 and double the blms damage on GA spells. drks use gil once per round andhit for about 1400. rangers use sidewinder about once a round as well and hit for 1600-1700.

with that said, realize this is not easy by any means. i wear about 3 mil in gil. and spend about 20k a night to keep up the damage. In my opinion i am a damage dealer, steady constant damage. nothin spectacular. but more than the Normal damage dealer my level.

i will agree with something, nin ws kinda suck till 150 then they get moderatly better until the LEET skill at 225. But realize that the lvl 225 ws is a five hit skill that stacks with trick/sneak. it is the last 5 hit skill avail. therefore its the strongest. unlike raging fists that comes on at 125 or penta that comes on at 150 even gillotine is before nin's 225.

It is and was a long hard journey. but the late game is worth it.

i wouldnt change anything about ninja. i am very happy playing as one, and thats all the really matters.

I happily stand corrected. I know nothing about NIN high-end game (nor any job's high-end game), I only know what I have learned from experience. If NIN's really do become that great at very high levels, that's great.

But still... before you get that 5hit WS, if you don't blink tank at all, wouldn't it be hard to find a PT? It's kind of like a level 10-14 THF, people know they become a lot better at 15 with sneak and TH, but they still usually don't like PTing with them before 15. So before you get your lvl 225 WS (levels 1 - 65, since you get it at 66), wouldn't you be a liability if you don't tank at all? I guess you could still do decent damage, but in my experience it won't match that of true damage dealers.

Also, maybe at your level that kind of money is common, but at my level most people don't spend more than 1mil-1.5mil on their equipment (though I have played with a few super rich JP DRK and RNG with peacock charm and meat chiefka etc). So I would say you are almost like an exception, not the norm (at my level anyway). Still, it is good to know that NIN become that good at high levels... almost makes me want to start one Too bad I'm Galka and supposedly we suck as NIN...

Save it vivy rofl, newbies are beyond listening to reason. Apparently, just because we've played the game for almost 2 years, and just because your a level 60 Ninja, doesn't mean anything.

Let them live in their own little world.. that way we can keep putting (English) (Party) = (death) in our search comments XD.
