Dragon Kick and Asuran Fist damage?

  • Dragon Kick and Asuran Fist damage?

    I haven't heard a lot about these ws. I know Dragon kick is a great light closer but I'm wondering how much damage it really does? Is it as high as Spinning Slash? Though I realize most monks sub war which imo is better so you couldn't SATA dragon kick. Asuran fists I haven't heard much about at all, is this a bad ws or something? If there is some other ws you monks get that does crazy damage say so. Raging Fists I love personally hehe. monks, I'm thinking of playing one.

    asuran fists does a constant dmg ranging from 600-1200, cant go any further since it doesnt have a dmg modifier, double attack doesnt stack with this ws.

    dragonkick can range from 600-1400 (usually 700-1000 from SATA), it can go further up if you are subbing war and double attack happens to kick in, i've done a 1958dmg 300% double dragon kick on a VT aura pot before.

      ....k #1: Double attack does stack with Asuran Fists, I have gotten 17, 18, and 19% returns.
      #2: It does have a mod, which you would know if you had read This.
      Generally speaking, there are no WSs that don't have a stat mod.
      You could even consider Spirits Within's mod to be the user's HP.

        How much do they do at 100% TP? or does the typical level 3 skillchain wait for 200%? Does Asuran fists close or open darkness chains? Any #'s with dragon kick with War sub? Personally I think thief sub is a waste for monk. Double attack and berserk is just too huge to lose.

          you are right mnk/thf is a waste in any xp party. you can use it to gimp your damage if the tank cant hold agro from you and you dont have a thf or drk

            MNK/WAR is the best xp option, hands down. Dragon kick is ok for light scs...but you'll never use it again after getting Asuran Fists. My average asurans do 800-1200, I've broken 1200 a couple times as well(1210 in dynamis of all places O_o). Sweet jesus double attack does stack with asuran in the most horrible fashion ever. I often get 20-31% tp returns when i use asuran, its just so good its retarded. Dragon kick...is highly variable on dmg with war sub, anywhere between 500-1100 for me(very rare it exceeds 700 it seems). THF is nice to stabilize the dmg at a higher end on this ws, but overall THF sub is completely gimp.

            When a tank can't handle me(aka always ), i just say fuck it throw counterstance up.

                    from the looks of your dmg i assume you have merit points in h2h skill and plus it's a bone you get extra dmg. before i merit my points into h2h i could never go that high, now my h2h is at 282 so it does break 1200 sometimes.

                    i'm pretty sure double attack doesnt stack, you either got in a couple of normal hits right after the ws (happens often since asuran fist has a long animatio) or was getting aggro from the monster and it hits you back for extra 2 or 3 tp. If it does stack, what is your highest asuran fist dmg ? i expect a 1700-1800 dmg if you are getting 20-31 tp return (that's like 17-18 punches assume its 100 dmg per fist)

                    and by dmg modifier i meant the tp modifier written in the description, it says acc vary with tp, the dmg of a full hit asuran fist at 100% will not be any difference from a dmg of a full hit asuran fist at 300%, only thing changed here is the accuracy.

                          cant really be suprised anymore, just when i got that 1309, it was the first time i xped in krt with my osode, foragers, and destroyers, so i was like :O. I usually get taken to decorative weapons in sky for xp, where i can still hit a 1100-1200.

                            I think it was one of Neogearzx's videos I saw a MNK do Sneak Attack Dragon Kick for 1003, and Light equaled the damage. I believe a DRG opened it with Wheeling for about 450dmg. The 2500 total damage from Weapon Skills and Light brought the mob to the ground. I couldn't tell the party make up, it was a quick section of a much longer random video. Though I was impressed with the Dragon Kick damage. I always thought that one looked pretty sweet.

                              Spinning slash is one of the best if not the best closer in the game. While its true you can achieve high number with dragon kick, it isn't reliable enought to warrant it as a contender for light closer. Maybe on bones, but anywhere else spinning slash does a constant 900-1200 dmg on any mob. While, from my experience, dragon kick does 400-600 dmg with sneak modifier. Then again drk gains tp slower then molaces....so it evens out in the end.
