    Has anyone ever had a slow leveling in Yhoator Jungle?
    I'ma 31 MNK with +14 STR..+5 DEX.. Mercs gear and impact knuckles when I hit 32. So anyways I was wondering why such slow invites? I left my seek PT up for an hour, while there was 5 WAR's a BLM and two DRG's seeking. By 30 minutes the WAR's and the BLM left. I can understand. but then 10 minutes later both DRG's get invited and 20 minutes later some DRK and DRG puts invite and get invited. What are so seducing about having your job be an advanced one? I'd prefer a 30 THF over a 30 SAM/DRK/NIN/DRG any day... You seen 250's with SATA and Viper Bite? >_> Literally amazing. While an DRG hits 30's and the wyvern dies from no defense/hp at all. People should learn that we atttack fast and hit good damage. And while a WAR hits once with a Great Axe/Sword we hit four times or so with more damage. Less aggro too, since we do it in waves.

        finding pts has been very easy for me, and relatively the same for all jobs i play (even blm and whm... albeit they are a little bit faster).
        just today i was in Windurst leveling up my clothcraft skill and i got a /tell inviting me to a pt in Crawler's Nest. i had to turn it down ^_^;

        this is what i would recommend in a search comment
        STRbase STR)+(modifiers) | DEXbase DEX)+(modifiers) | (|Attack Bonus|)+(attack modifier)
        HP: (|(wherever your HP is)|) | @(TNL)
        (|Japanese|)/(|English|) (|Party|) OK

        so for me that would be
        STR:42+12 | DEX:54+5 | (|Attack Bonus|)+13
        HP: (|Jeuno|) | @5200
        (|Japanese|)/(|English|) (|Party|) OK

        although i'm not going to pt anymore until i get the lvl 40 1mil gear
        and i have no idea how much of a difference it will be for me between lvl 42 and 45, or 50 or something :\

          Thus far PTs have came relatively easily, although there have been a few off-days.

          I play from EU and my play time is generally until about 2am GMT on weekdays, and about 5am or something daft on weekends.

          Up until 55 PTs have been great thus far.

          Hopefully with the EU release incoming there will be more people on at GMT times and hence PTs will become more and more avaibale, although since im like level 55 theres gonna be little chance of PTing with a lot of other EU players for a long while.

            I yes I feel all your pain, all mnks go through the same thing so don't think it's just you.

                lv48-55 (at lowest 48, include bard) = garlaige basement = crazy exp killing bones!
                lv55-60 (at lowest 55, include bard) = gustav = more skeletons + occasional crab blocking the way.

                monk really shouldn't have any problems at this level since these places are great for exp.
                jobs: whm67, blm37, thf37, war30, mnk58.

                  doh that sucks Ghostraven ; ;

                  We are on the same server, I have seen you seeking a lot with no luck. I also remember seeing a 50monk with something in search comments along the line of "I spent 700k not to be f*cking invited"....believe he quit monk for PLD.

                  As for the slow invites, the majority of players are melee, which means your job as melee damage dealer can be fulfilled by so many other jobs. What makes it even worse is that many NA people (even at mid-higher levels) will think Advanced job > Basic job.

                  There have been lots of good suggestions posted already. First off, don't sit in Jeuno all day for invites. Farm, mine, craft, anything is more productive than just sitting LFG.

                  Like others have pointed out, use a good search message. If you have any luxury items that stand out, it doesn't hurt to throw them in your message. While I am seeking, I am most likely mining in Gusgen, with MNK/BLM sub o.o.

                  @tnl. Japanese / English PT ok!
                  Sniper's Ring / Brown/Life belt
                  SJ: Warrior Warp->Jeuno ok!

                  My last suggestion is one of the most important imo. When you are partying, make a lasting impression. If you level daily, you are going to be seeing a lot of familiar names. Talk with people, impress them with damage you dish out...., anything to make a long lasting impression. Once people remember you, they will reinvite you over the dozens of other melee seeking. The invites will come in much faster. I was amazed a few days ago because I got an invite for monk from a previous party member while I was seeking on my DRK. I can't emphasize this enough, gotta make buddies and long lasting impressions on your parties.
                  70 MNK / 50 DRK / 35 WAR / 33 THF / 32 BLM / 17 NIN / 15 RNG / 15 DRG / 12 RDM

                    <Social skills.> <Do you have it?>

                    All kidding aside, it is a very social game, sometimes people will party with you just because they have a good time when they group with you. You should know a bunch of paladins/white mages/bards around your level and make nice with them. It's not kissing their you know what it's just being a smart player.

                    Keep you gear up to date and play smart, i.e. not in an overbearing style - just go with the flow, make suggestions, not commands. etc etc

                    Good luck, because once you get over 60 then 65 invites do pickup pretty fast, I feel bad sending tells back, "Sorry, set pt mang"...

                      Well, viper is 33, and the worst a mandragora is going to do to a wyvern is put it to sleep. And 30 SAMs are amazing if they know what they're doing - they get Meditate and can start skillchaining twice as often, plus Berserk if they have a WAR sub. Also, the WARs were probably invited to tank - assuming your server has a tank shortage too. Most MNK aren't prepared to tank, although they can with the right gear (at least at that level, I don't know of any 60+ monk tanks though).

                      But I agree with your main point - MNK is a strong damage dealer with the right gear, it's just that some people don't realize it.

                        I'm a WAR after 30... do you know how many invites I get from Americans? None.

                        Whenever I get lucky enough, or if I start me own PT, what's the 1st thing said?

                        "so xai y u a war nd not pld? u lyke to gimp my expz? lolz"

                        Or,

                        "d00d u shuldah been a drk drk iz teh must damage and if u not a drk nd u think u dmg u n00b."

                        ...

                        What can I say?

                        Anyway, I'm pretty sure your situation is the same as mine, and when I don't get invites, do I complain? No, and let me tell you why.

                        Those same people who "yell" at me for being a post-30 WAR..., do I really wanna be invited by them? 100% of the invites I get, if I get it, are by those people.

                        And I don't want to Lv w/ignorant jerks.

                        So, if you don't get invites, don't be upset because you'll probally lose more than you gain.

                        I made a couple of friends, and now I have a perfectly running static PT, my PLD and my BLM are a bit impatient, but I always have a WHM and RDM on hand, which is extremely nice.

                        Anyway, that's all the info I have to offer.

                          Here's what's crazy... and worked for me... 1) set up a search comment:

                          @tnl food HP
                          str dex acc subs
                          exceptional gear(jujitsu gi, fuma khayan, sniper's, kote, etc)

                          2) go farm _without_ having seek on...

                          strangest thing... my mnk always gets invites when i'm out farming, say... qufim/delk... and i make money, and i'm usually not bored... or if you want buy a port to somewhere, then go farm the beastman cities (oz, bead, davoi) and get some light exp, (like 12-25) just watch for links and such, and if you get bored doing that... i suggest going back to jeuno and reading a book or something

                            I'm losing faith my fellow Monks. I love this job so much, and I'd quit the game before I quit Monk. I've been seeking in Jeuno for 4 days now without an invite. I'm level 44. I have these best possible equipment I can have at this level give or take an item.

                            Weapon: Impact Knuckles
                            Head: Mercenary Captain's Headgear
                            Neck: Spike Necklace
                            Earrings: 2 Beetle Earrings +1
                            Body: Jujitsu Gi
                            Hands: Ochuido's Kote
                            Rings: 2 Sniper's Ring
                            Back: Wolf Mantle +1
                            Belt: Brown Belt
                            Legs: Jujitsu Sitabaki
                            Feet: Fuma Kyahan

                            Search Comment looks like this....

                            @4600 ACC+14 STR(51)+10 DEX(44)+5
                            {Japanese} / {English} {Party} OK!
                            {Home Point} = {Jeuno} {Warp} OK!

                            Not sure how much I can last. It's very frustrating. =(

                            Specially when you see Rank 2 Dark Knight's named Sepheroth get invites over you.

                              That's some tight gear Sakrafyce =O

                              I'm being lazy and not reading the thread, but what I say about this:

                              - Farming/Questing til invite is not a waste of time.
                              - Make your own PT, if you know where to exp, and what to kill. However, repeatedly scanning for rdms or whms LFG can be like a rng waiting for an NM to pop =O
                              - If you don't know where to exp or what to kill... find out. That way, you can make your own PTs with confidence.

                              Oh yea, I forgot the last option... SELL OUT!
                              Sell-out tier I: Whm, Brd/Whm
                              Sell-out tier II: Pal, Rdm
                              Sell-out tier III: Blm, Rng

                              These guys don't get picked last in Dodgeball =P
