Wow pretty long. Ive been reading bits of it... I wish they added more abilities. I think weapon bash should be our ability. And who ever heard of jumping onto a mob and missing? And the wyvern? He never listens. Ask him to sit and rest and he'll only do it if you join him. Tsk , tsk.. wyverns these days...

the new ability they are adding makes them obey.
Consider Dragoon are supposed to be masters of the jump attack yes i do expect to land on a moving target.
edit: also in the new update if he is at full health you can dismiss him and he will be able to be called imidiatly, aka get him to full health, dismiss, jump on a choobo, summon again, rinse, repeat.3 Star General of the GHLA

1: how many summons the wyvern just b4 they deside to ride a chocobo. Normally your timer is already up when you want to ride a chocobo and you want to SAVE that 2 hrs to when some random mob desides to go all out on AoE
2: after god knows how many hrs staring at Maat in jeuno you get a PT and the leader say "meet at xxx chocobo stables", ppl come /bow and stuff... then ppl say ready... you say "WAIT!!! have to go outside town and dismiss my wyvern brb"
They should have just made it so the wyvern just is away while you are on chocobo (like when you are inside town), though this is better than nothing atleast.

This just makes things more fiddly, we will have to constantly remember if we have our Wyvern summoned outside then run out, return it, blah blah... so long and stupid.
They should still go with the update but as you said, simply put your Wyvern on standby while you are on a Chocobo and have him spawn when you dismount.
As for the Jump ability, YES... I DO expect my DRG to ALWAYS hit the mob when I use it.
I was shocked when I found out it could miss.
And it is about 90% official (Ayako has a good source) that the TP return will get nerfed in the next update.
Hopefully the ability to heal the Wyvern will make it so that we can have it out the majority of the time which will compensate for the loss of TP... maybe.

Yesterday i waited for 7 hours for a pt with no invites. Ahhh such is the life of a dragoon. Sitting around in the Merry Minstrel along with Mnks, Drks and sometimes Sams.... sigh.. From the door i see Rdms, Plds, Whms and Blms pass by, all in their radiant AF equipment, some of them i used to level with..
Is this going to be the life of a dragoon all the way to the 70s?

if i should come with sugestions to fix DRG it would be
Wyvern get +1 resist to all elements per lvl
Passive Traits
Lv.20 Jump Mastery
Jumps do 1/4 more DMG when Polearm is used
Lv.40 Jump Mastery2
Jumps do 1/2 more DMG when Polearm is used and jump reuse timers is reduced -0.00.15
Lv.60 Jump Mastery3
Jumps do 2x DMG when Polearm is used and jump reuse timers is reduced -0.00.30

Vorpal Thrust and Penta Thrust should change places since Penta realy is to strong to get at lvl 49

The reduction of fast TP, if it come, will just put another reason for a PT to select a more practical job instead of taking a Dragoon. Maybe the problem of Dragoon is not having a unique element to the class. It's not a question of balance of the class more than what the class will bring to the pt that cannot be replaced by another melee.
Let say our Jump will bring a stun to the mob if you hit, well group will look at us and say "Hmm, he can stop those bomb from the Gob, let invite him"
Sadly, Dragoon have nothing special and unique that cannot be replace by another melee class. We are a dmg dealer class that are good in certain situation. Maybe S-E should rethink there advance class that bring nothing special and unique or remove them. Better have less job option, but that all are good and fit in PT and don't hinder it.Baddwin
