Dislike AF?

is the AF armor the best possible armor for the Dragoon? or is there armor just as good like earth doublets or brigadine that are just as good. Im asking this because what if someone dosent like the AF(looks) and dosent want to have to wear it just because its the best armor availible. i like how doublets look, i dont really like the dragoon AF, will picking alternative armor at lvl 50 etc be very bad to do?

WHAT! DRG AF is awesome looking. I suppose if your wyvern is dead you could carry another set of armor for that.

The DRG AF is so Cool! What the hell are you thinking!? But then again, everyone has their own personal taste. I'm not that high as a DRG, and from what I've seen of the DRG AF, it is the best possible Armor. It has bonuses that I haven't seen any other Armor give.

It isn't the best but its good for some of the wyvern bonuses, and its free. Earth doublets and Brigandines don't really fall under "things I would wear over AF because the stats are better or they look better"..the stats really aren't better, and definately don't look better.

at 50+ it's better than most other things you can find out there.. except gloves and somethings that are worth a few million.. if you prefer better accuracy you can go back to battle gloves.. at 65 a lot of people move to the tiger set and at 70+ there's cardinal.. if you're rich you can buy a scorp harness. Check the AH there are plenty of things that are available there.

AF maybe not the best Armor available but:

1. it is Free!

2. it increase some of your skill, note that not all the bonus are excellent

3. it look very nice, but you can you don't like it, we are in democratie!

4. Until you are RICH enouth, that will be your best option for a long time

5. and if it was so worthless, why are all the high level (70-75) on my server still wear it?

For show. Ask then if they were it during battles, I will almost guarantee that more than half of them say no. It just looks better than their battle gear.

For every single job out there, AF is NOT the best out there. Their are JSE, Dusk Armour, Relic Armour, and other misc. single armour pieces out there that are superior to our AF. In fact, I think nearly all our AF pieces is complete and utter garbage (save for the Gloves and the Helm for situational purposes). Think about it for a second. 4 of 5 of our AF is solely dependent on our 2hour. What happens when our wyvern dies? It makes 4 of those 5 pieces complete garbage. The stats aren't alll that great either, aside from the Gloves.

I agree, purple ain't my thing, but then again, I can't complain terribly about its boosts. You can call me weird, but I actually prefer the standard "I am just an average soldier" look from say... FFTactics-plain, grey and simple.
