  • Is Drg/Sam a bad idea at lv 20?

I am considering going this route asap. Is this a good or bad idea?

well the only reason you sub samurai is for the TP boosting boosting abilities...and you don't get that until the samurai i 30..

You'll get about 1% addition tp per polearm hit with the level 10 Samurai store tp.

Actually the store tp ability gives more tp based on how much tp you have. So you get to 300% very fast.

The TP passive adds 2% per hit not 1%. Also while using a lance a Dragoon gets an additional 2% TP. So really you end up with 14% per hit.

Wrong but thanks for playing! It adds 100% TP back over 3-5 seconds for Samurai main. 60% over 5 seconds as a subjob.

Don't bother with Samurai sub until 60. You'll just make life harder on yourself and limit what you can and can?ft do.

Choice between warrior and thief sub is simple.

                  a) Want burst damage? Go thief. You get a nice burst every minute with sneak attack

                  b) Want consistent damage? Go warrior. With berserk up, every hit you do will be consistently higher

Personally I went the thief way only because I hated having half my double thrust hit or none at all. Sneak Attack guarantees both hits which gives a nice damage.

I did some experimenting with my drg along the way with subin samurai up to lvl 33, and I'll tell you that the tp gain is BARELY noticable, and you are probably better off subbing something else.

Only advantage I saw to it was not having the JA "Provoke"

... people get the silliest idea that I'm like a Paladin with a pet in CN >.> A few times I've had to unsub Warrior because I would end up tanking more than the tank and getting seriously hurt from it ><
