I agree there are actually a few people which I try to avoid PT's with as best I can. Which I find weird.. there are some Brds and Whms which I know are bad at their jobs and wont PT with them. With that said, I think 60+ is all based on reputation. If you are fun to play with, not annoying, trying to get along, and know how to play you're job.. you will get more invites.

Personally because I've been making most of my PT's it gets easier to make PT's if others know what type of person you are (even if they are not seeking they may be interested in joining just knowing that someone they know is making the PT) At the same time because you want to make a good PT.. you avoid inviting those that you know have bad reputations.. just to save yourself the trouble in the end.

yep, agree, it all boils down to you, the player. Good player, better chances, bad player, better quit while it's still early.

anywayz just to give you a general view on a drk's growth, you will be part in the End game, i can pretty much garuntee it, against HNM hunts, althou you are not the key damage dealer.

there are alot of Drks at early lvls. but not many would not go further, most i seen quit around lvl50s coz that's one of the hardest time in yer drk life as well as other melees. So to say, try to get into a static party or make your own parties or simply be as good as you can (keep equipments updated, good reputation..e tc)

lvl 15-30 you will get PT's fairly often. IMO this is due to the fact that many new players who do not have a lvl 30 already for advanced jobs want to see how "cool" Drk is. It is known that many players will want to play Drk for that "coolness" factor that they percieve Drk has :p.

30-50 it gets slightly harder but still bearable. Really its not too hard to get PT's here.

50-60 Hardest point for PT's for almost every Melee job.

60-65/66 It's not too bad, usually you will get invited if the PT already has a Rng (Guillotine > Sidewinder or Sidewinder > Sickle Moon).

66-75 (Now I personally havent done this... I'm 64 atm;; ) but the ability to close any type of renkei and still give out good damage doing so is a real bonus to Drks. You will get PT invites because of it.

From my experience (I'm only DRK 51 atm), the hardest point for me was at 45-50. I was seeking for up to 9 hours without one tell. At about the time I got Vorpal Scythe, the invites started coming in. I guess getting a good reputation does help alot, the higher up in level you get.

Well i'm gonna be honest rangers need god like equipment to be good against IT leveling monsters or their ws's Miss alot and i mean aloooottttt sidewinder/arching arrow miss hella alot on IT mobs while dark knight is more consistant in dealing dmg post 60+ with a thf sub. A good equipped rng really blows everyone away but those are exceptional once who have god like equipment.

Ever since about 43 i have been grouping with the same bunch of people. Not a static party, but the same people invite me over and over again. When they are not online though, i will sit lfg for hours and not get a group.

I usually group with the same people all week, then comes that time when I have to go to work.... they outlvl me and I'm stuck LFG till another "weekly static group" picks me up.

                Scythe's at 222 -_- damn I want Cross Reaper.... LVL 3 RENKAI

Some times I have to fight mobs I'm too low lvled for -- even with 44 ACC + ABS-DEX, and and ABS-AGI I can't land a hit ... I notice I seek a lot longer after a bad exp incident like this(Processionaires, Skimmers @ lvl 64) Eyeball soup really helps... and even though Vassago's Scythe has + 5 accuracy, I found that Zweihander +1 or so had better accuracy even though it's capped lower, and my TP building time is less...

imho, if you want to xp, you should atleast show it.... I spend around 9K-20K each time I go exping (eyeball soup, meat chiefkabob, silent oils, prizm powders)...

                    Ya.. I'm loving 225 WS'.

Made a Pld, Rdm, Brd, Drk, Rng, Blm PT yesterday. Basically Rng would Sidewinder when ever he could (he almost always hit because of Brd song) doing 1000-1300 dmg sidewinders. He could basically solo Procesionaire too. Sidewinder > Barrage > Sidewinder. On next fight it was Pld and My turn for the Darkness Renkei.

Best one that we did was:

Swift Blade (around 200 dmg) > Cross Reaper (1118 damage) > Darkness (1118 damage). It was dead before we realized what happened ><; That PT became a 4500 exp an hour on average. Made around 25000 exp in that 1 PT.

LOL, oh wow... thanks for easing my suffering, lol.

FFXI servers down for maintenance, .5 away from Cross Reaper & the servers won't be going back online for another 3 or so hours ?

                      /em dies.

                      Raise II, anyone?

It's hard for most jobs barring mages to get a party from what
ive seen at 42 & up. My two best friends are mages one BLM & the other WTM and even they have started noticing the slow down in invites. Once we hit 43 something completely changed in the matrix for our jobs. Yesterday was actually the first time I ever
had to wait in this game for 2 hours with a DRG & a RNG who also were waiting for 3! I'm sure I'll see worst if not longer periods but I know/seen other jobs suffer the same. as one posted way above, the time you get on is key at the higher levels. Reputation
really does help and making good friends and allies goes a long way. But if you just want to race to the end of the game and want
ludicrous invites like a free crack give away for crack heads,
choose Bard you'll always be hounded.

I recently retired my DRK @ lvl 69 with 35 sam, thf, and war subs...

There's no way for me to justify seeking for such prolonged periods of time w/o an invite...

For all of you who're lucky enough to have a static or people who'll pt with you over and over again, grats; may drk end up being a fun job for you @ end game.

i gotta say, a lot of people in this post are some of those are are causing me to quit paladin. people want to play damage dealing jobs but dont want to sit around waiting for a party. so they've all changed to jobs that are more desirable. so now i can go to find members in jeuno and see at least 2 or 3 other pld's in my lvl range seeking almost constantly. its getting nearly impossible to find a party. its not a matter of hours but days on my server. all the jp players only want nin's, so these loads of pld's are stuck in NA only parties.
