If your talking about acc now dont even bother wearing the DRK AF it is junk. ill tell you what i use, Haubergeon, snippers, assualt, royal guard,life,lv55 gloves, vassago.

Right there that is acc+44 if you go by 2dex=1 acc thats about 47ish? Personally i think royal is better then peacock since it adds att+ but its up to you.

it's ok xeph, pulling is tough sometimes. the fact that drks have to even pull made me wanna quit being a drk. it's definitely not easy as everyone makes it out to be.

if u play on a laggy connection, pulling is even more of a nightmare. when my room mates were download junk, my lag was horrible and i ended up coming back to camp in red during some pulls.

anyhow, about the sniper's, they're worth it.

        thanx socrate

        Thanks for being understanding.

I think much of the problem with pulling has to do with the way Terringan is laided out. It's just stupid with so many aggroing pugils blocking the tunnel entrence. It totally blows when you have the crab that you pulling wailing at your butt, but you can't go back to camp now because of the pugils just moved and is now blocking your way back to camp. Both times I died because of that. But at least I had the decency to die alone instead of running back to camp with multiple adds and screw over the other parties who are in the middle of a fight. (can't say the same for the other 2 thieves)

        Anyway, I hit 60!

So now pugils and raptors are my bitch.

Now I can also sub THF and not suck (got trick attack now). So pulling will be easier with THF subbed (flee anyone?). Besides, no where else I ever camped is as bad as terrigan up to this point.

Also, for the hell of it. I bought the Assult Earring on Sunday. Now my accuracy is +31. heh.... but my defense is really sucking now at 222. not to mention I'm down to my last 80K. Think I'll have to spend some time farming again.

what were you pulling with? just running up and swinging? use poison you get so much range. when i was pulling at terrigan the only time i got hit during the pull was from raptors because they can run as fast as flee if need be. just try to practice your range and pull from as far away as you can with poison or another spell, poison is fastest.

like some other ppl said in this thread.

if your that worried about it spend the cash and get some phalanx rings and other assorted +def gear and learn to use an /equip macro to switch to and from em.

              I am pulling with magic

usually stunn or bio, and I also use power crossbow when I'm low on MP.

Problem isn't the range of the pull, I always pull from max distance. The problem is that you have to zig zag your way back to the camp due to the pugils and raptors that tend to get into the way of your return trip.

As you know, zip-zag dodging aggroing mobs = not a straight line. Mob that chases you = stright line, they don't zig-zag. Straight line = shorter than non-straight line. They catch up. Some times the pugils near the cave entrence moves at the last moment to completely block it. I died once because I didn't want to train and get everyone killed.

The problem is most accute when there are more than 2 camps at terrigan. You are always out of crabs near the camp, so you are (a) let the xp chain die and earn less than 2K per hour or (b) run the gauntlet and pull from all the way across the beach, and take hits on your way back when you are avoiding aggro.

well with as many pts as you say in the area i dont see how there can still be so many monsters to dodge... best thing you can do i guess is just level up and get out of teriggan >.>

Somewhat on topic (I hope) : what are the rings going for on your servers ?

On Ramuh, one ring costs 250K which IMO is ridiculous. They went up from 100 to 250 in a month and have remained at this price for some time now.

Oh well, I can get it, I just think some prices are a bit nuts. :spin:

                    ah...

answers to ur original question; yes, those rings r worth every penny u paid for them, IN BATTLE.

but it sounds to me that u r blaming ur equipements for ur HP being so low when u get back to ur camping spot. and u appearantly don't care to switch equipements even if u believe they r causing that to happen.

like some others said, pulling could be tough sometimes, and i understand that. but remember, that does NOT excuse u from coming back to the camping spot w/ less than half HP left and possibly putting healers in danger.

if u know Raptors move pretty quick and u don't have Flee w/ THF sub, avoiding them is one choice. and pulling them knowing that fact is YOUR responsiblity. don't blame equipments because ur HP got low when u got back. that's unavoidable regradless of what equipments u put on.

btw, u should've asked that DRG to "relay" those Raptors, thereby spreading the damage, if u were to pull them.

                      pheK:

Problem was all 3 parties were 57-58. So we were all fighting over the crabs, but none of us could take on the pugils or raptors. Crabs get scarce, so we were forced to look for them way out there while all the pugil and raptors are allowed to go unmolestered. But yes, I'm out of terringan now. If now we are in Valley of sorrow, owning those raptors. :D

                      bside:

We weren't pulling raptors. We were pulling crabs (all 3 parties). It's the pugil and raptors we had to dodge. And since they don't stay put, they aren't always in the same spot when you got your pull as when you first went out. It becomes a game of frogger, with you trying to dodging the moving pugils and raptors on the beach with the crab wailing at your butt. Yes, it's indeed an excuse for coming back to campe with only 1/2 hp. I didn't get an link or an add, now that would really have put the mages in danger, not to mention the other 2 parties who are fighting their own mob. One of my death was the result of me stopping because the entrence to camp was blocked by couple of pugils. I could have ran back to camp with 3 mobs in tow just to die in front of everyone and screw everyone over, but I didn't.

As for the equipment. Unfortunatly, they are pretty darn expensive. Not every DRK got money oozing out of his pores. I picked the equipment that let me do my job best (+ acc, +attack) over being gimped in term of both offense and defense. If my cooking ever pays off really handsomely (not yet at 52), I'll buy another set of equipment and swap in between. But right now, all I accumulated is about a million worth money, and that's only enough to buy purely assult gears that I'm wearing at the moment.

                          yes they are crabs

Ok, for the very last time! I can pull/run just fine, if I traveled in a straight line back to camp. But as you know, you can't travel straight line back to camp because of the moving mobs (pugil and raptor would own us at 57-58)

                          Because:

                          (1) you are force to take long zig zag course in order to avoid adds and aggros. Zig zag =/= shortest route back to camp.

                          (2) The crab chasing you is traveling in a straight line. Straight line = The shortest route to reach you.

                          Because:

Since Straight line < Zig zaged line.

                          Therefore:

Crab that travel at the same speed as you catch up with you.

Hope that makes it easy to understand. Math doesn't leave much room for doubts. The other parties were having the same problem, notice 1 dead THF/NIN in that same time span.

So people can stop lying about long distance pull being easy on Terrigan. Everyone at my lvl range all say terrigan has the worst camp. Adds and aggro leads to deaths or frequent trip to the zone.

Only thing that ever has gotten me close to death pulling are raptors, or waiting for a POP to move thats between me and the PT....I've never had a problem pulling crabs in teriggan as thf/nin. It's not that hard to remember positions of enemies that might be in your way going back to the camp and estimate the positions the enemies will move to. Crabs I pull usually never even make 1 of my utusemi shadows wear off; it's not that hard to pull stuff that doesnt run fast (E.g. raptors, tigers, demons, etc) and avoid links at the same time.
P.S. if you almost die pulling crabs, you WILL die pulling raptors unless your PT camps right next to them.

The other parties were having the same problem, notice 1 dead THF/NIN in that same time span.
Sounds like that thf can't pull for *explicative* :/

Xephoid, you must suck at pulling and that DRG you mentioned before needs more acc equipment to make up for is slowness in getting TP. Dont pull if you dont know how. I do everything you mentioned every damn time I party and get hit for 200 damge when I come back.

                                nice try

Nice try trying to make yourself look good. And especially you JohnDoeIII, got slammed enough by your peers in the THF forum for passing out false infomation? Welcome to the DRK forumn :D

Think about it, what's the probability that 4 high lv pullers all suck at pulling (me, the drg, and 2 THF/NINs). The probability is next to nil. I have pull mobs ever sinced lvl 10, and I never had problems pulling anywhere except in terrigan, and only when more than 1 other camp is shareing the camping spot (forcing long distance pulls) and no one was strong enough to take on the pugils/raptors.

And, P.S we are now lvling in valley of sorrows, and pulling raptors there are MUCH easier than pulling crabs in terringan. (1) there usually isn't another camp there so pulls are not very long, and (2) there is nothing that obstruct my way back to camp.

Bad puller... lol, yeah right, obviously you don't know me. If you want to try to make yourself look good, go somewhere else, because everyone at my Lv had the same hate for that camp site.
