Would a Mithra be able to pull off being a Dark Knight?

Definitely. Because of their high dexterity, they have a higher chance of hitting with their scythes, because of that, their damage ends up being around the same as an elvaan dark knight.

Great, cause I wanted to make a Mithra Thief but sometimes maybe change class to Dark Knight.

OMG yes, first off you have high DEX, you will actually be better than an elvaan cause you wont miss half as much and STR is easy to boost up. At LVL 70 a Elvaan has like 52 or 54 DEX an a mithran has 70. And the STR difference is like 8-10 only.
Then go to your AGI, your a DRK you dont wanna get hit at all, well high AGI means they miss you alot, instead of elvaan high VIT which for a DRK sucks anyway and you will die faster elvaan.
I was the only DRK/THF on beta for awhile, not sure at end how many there were but with THF sub you get such great DEX+AGI not to mention if your mithran its even better then you throw in Sneak Attack and you do a hellavalot better than any elvaan.

I was also planning to be a Mithra Dark Knight/Thief when it arrives in N.A. Good to see that this combo isn't as silly as I thought it would be. DRK/SAM is another I was considering for the TP growth potential, but I'll have to see if I can play a DRK at all. I think the accuracy of a Mithra DRK sounds better than higher damage per hit. Besides I wanted to try out Monk as well and Mithras make decent ones too.

Well anyone that says its silly is probably a noobie LVL 9 war that doesnt know what provoke is, its a great combo. Not sure about DRK/SAM that just seems like to much lvling for me but im sure it would be good, i think the most silly is DRK/WAR.

the problem with DRK/SAM is that you can make "too much hate" by pulling off your Gullotines (like 3 in a row)...enough to drive the designated tank insane.

Mithra and Elvaan DRKs are equal -_- neither is "superior" to the other...

the Mithra will have higher DEX and MP, but lower STR and HP (which they will fix with items)

the Elvaan will have highest STR and HP (and btw, that there alone gives the Elvaans a big advanged, Soul Eater ), but lower DEX and MP which they will fix with items

here you see the difference in STR is NOT just a few points...it's a lot mor and the same goes for the Elvaans with their DEX, but with the help of a few +DEX items and +STR items, the two become balanced.

Only thing I didn't find appealing was trying to level an Elvaan Thief to 35 with their low DEX and AGI. The numbers posted by Hisdon are quite interesting. Do you have any numbers for Humes as well with WAR/THF/SAM subs? Would like to compare the 3 (Elvaan, Mithra, Hume) just to get a general idea of which race to choose. I know that the numbers aren't accurate but it would help. Besides, I'm not the type to pick a race just because it would be better for a job than another, but I would like to be comfortable with my decision that other DRK/THF would be comparible.

As i said there is Less STR to boost for mithran than there is DEX for elvaan. You have HP but not that much.
I was actually torn for the N.A. release as to pick a Elvaan Female or Mithran, in truth i guess Hisdon is right. Its all your personal prefference on which race you like better or which stats you like better. My prefference is DEX and AGI over STR and VIT, so i choose mithran.

Mithra DRK is fine, I know one hee hee, they make good WS with yokodama, better than hume can. ?ubtw DRK AF seems to be the only clothings that don't become slutty on Mithra so you may get dissapointed because of that ?v Before lv60 no sub is good but war. War is stupid becuase your expected to provoke, while a DRK doesnt provoke if he does hes stupid beacuse DRKs take damage like a BLM, i think DRK/WAR is ok but if you are expected to provoke and tank ylu are screwed.

I hate the kids that think about stats, stats, stats, and only stats. The game is for having fun, not doing math. (That stat calculator is such a piece of trash, also)
