DRK Elvaan?

People are to obsessed with certain Race/job preferences. Sure Elvvans are going to have more attack power but they also have less mp then a humes. Sure Humes have more hp and attack power then tarutaru but tarutaru have more mp and better AGI. Also add the differences arent that much in the end or beginning or midway through. Well anyone can pick what they want, its there choice whatever floats there boat, but I rather pick a race I be happy with then some race I wont be just because it has little bit better stats.

BTW, if someone chose me then disbanded me from the group because another DRK with the same lvl but more of a melee type race came by I surely be pissed.

I assume by this post that you are a Hume DRK? I wondering if you have PT'd with any other DRK and noticed a difference in MP consumption as opposed to your own? I know DRK is a melee class but they have good spells (Drain for one) that I plan on using a lot. Just seems odd to not use some of your greatest assets.

I really see little point to a taru Drk. i think its just as bad as elvaan thief.

I see really little point in cookie cutter characters. Have fun with your Elvaan DRK, only HALF of the other people playing FFXI are going to be your same Race/Job combo .

First off, how is RNG the strongest, my vote goes to a BLM. Especially with ancient spells like FREEZE.

Second, who really cares what race and what /Sub u use. Give it a rest this is all i hear about :/ getting really annoying, you can make any race with any JOB/SUB and make it work fine. Also if someone boots you because a Elvaan DRK comes along, they are just being idiotic, that would piss me off and if a LDR of a PT did that to a person in the PT i would surely leave also and i hope the rest of you guys feel the same.

BLM isn't a main damage dealer. They just boost it significantly. Sidewinder actually does more damage than freeze, and can be used under much more comfortable circumstances.

Also, no one will boot you to invite and elvaan DRK that pops along. But if you're waiting w/ as hume mithra or taru and elvaan DRK of the same level waiting with you, find yourself a good book to read.

And yes, have fun with half of the other DRKs being cookie cutters just like you. That whole half takes priority before the non-cookie cutters. Sad but true. All games are like that. Hell, not just games, even pro sports.

Your telling me a BLM isnt a mian damage dealer of a PT. So you got to LVL 66 without BLMs partying everytime.

Just lok at your SIG you are asking for 2 mages LVL 60+ for Zilart M4. To say a BLM isnt there to deal damage or be the main damage dealer is insane, i would take 2 BLM and a WHM over 2 WHM and a BLM anyday.

galka will supply little more hp and int, elvaan will supple a little more str, and more MP. I say if you are going to be Elvaan Drk. try out Thief as sub job for the Dex boost. Warrior is fine too with critical strike and a scythe. Thats brutal! But in the long run, i think it doesn't matter what character is what char. Galka whm and blm are good at the start, but they wont have the mp to help anyone after so im sorry, but they are the only race i say that shouldnt be mages. But i think Galka Drk will get more invites than Elvaan Drk. But i havent met up with one yet so I dont know the comparison in battle. I hope my long boring message helped you
