CAn anyone tell me any info on this plz? Like what weapon type I have to have lvled and what mob type it is and where its at? Thanx.

BLM can get 2 quested WSes, Retrobution (Staff) and Black Halo (Club).

Retrobution NM is a Skeleton Type mob in Ifrits Cauldren. You need to have it leveled to 230 to get the quest.

I havn't done the Club WS yet.

Club WS quest NPC is in the Orastery (Port Windurst), and once you've gotten rid of the latent effect, the NM is in Ro'Maeve.

Retribution does a tad more dmg then Spirit Taker... but Spirit Taker has that MP-return thing, so always Spirit Taker > Retribution. It looks fancy, though.

Both WS NM are relatively easy, single party of 75s can destroy both of them with ease.

As for effectiveness... blah. Hexa Strike is way better than Black Halo for damage (and Judgment is roughly equal. Full Swing makes Retribution look like your hitting them with a q-tip. The only thing nice about the quested WS is that they have different skillchain properties than the other skills of their respective weapons (in most cases).
