What weapon and shield(if applicable) do you use after lvl 60?

elemental staves - ice and dark staff is a must after lv51 imo

Elemental staff all the way through 75. No other weapon can outperform the elemental staff appropriate to your spell. If you're really paranoid about taking damage, a macro switch to Earth Staff is also superior to any shield you could use, since -20% damage all the time > whatever damage you might avoid from attempting to block with a shield, since BLM have no natural shield skill.

For casting, Elemental staves all the way.

For meleeing when farming or questing, Lilith's Rod is a nice weapon prior to learning the staff WS Spirit Taker. It's MP drain added effect has a high chance of going off (about 20MP per drain), and moonlight replenishes a little MP for the whole party (very limited, about 14MP at 100% TP) It's nothing spetecular, but better than nothing while you are on a quest run and don't have the time to rest on the way.

Shield is useless for BLM, especially after the changes in the last update. I wouldn't bother with it.

Never farm with a club.

Use a high D staff, use drain and aspir and youll never lose mp and hp.

That club only works on mobs with MP, and no mob with MP is good to farm.

Some of us farm elementals. Last time I checked, they are chucked full of MP goodness. While nuke and aspir works well on these, the additional MP from the club does help.

Cant melee Ele's in Sky D;

All the ele's that are easily melee'd are usually camped. Try camping the ones in BeheDom >.>;; so many people >.x

Sky = no one farms ":3

Anywho~

People that dont have it this WS.. go lvl staff and get spirit taker, its well worth the trouble~
