Slotty, plz don't argue with BTT, it just makes him post more, and noone beleive his junk, but BTW I was wrong in assessing the importance of INT. I'd value each INT at around 5 MP, assuming you use 90% of it in an exp chain. So yes, in many cases INT gear is not as good as MP gear.

if you kill a monster to fast you fighter has no tp for next fight, double MB is not worth it, second Mb pulls aggro not worth it, second no one does 3 ws at once, one guy will ususally have 200tp, and the other guy barely breaks 100. and when have you run your self out out of mp? i used to have 900mp then realized whats the point? you cant use all of it, even if you used all of it you would probly pull aggro. easiest expirment with how useful mp is just take off all your +mp then go out and lvl. see how many time you say damn i need another 500 mp. if you know how to cast your spells you dont need 1000mp.

UGH...there are sooo many things wrong with what you just said...aside from the fact EVERY post from you is one long run-on sentence...if you kill a monster to fast you fighter has no tp for next fight, double MB is not worth it, second Mb pulls aggro not worth it, second no one does 3 ws at once, one guy will ususally have 200tp, and the other guy barely breaks 100. and when have you run your self out out of mp? i used to have 900mp then realized whats the point? you cant use all of it, even if you used all of it you would probly pull aggro. easiest expirment with how useful mp is just take off all your +mp then go out and lvl. see how many time you say damn i need another 500 mp. if you know how to cast your spells you dont need 1000mp.
Firstly: "if you kill a monster to fast you fighter has no tp for next fight, double MB is not worth it, second Mb pulls aggro not worth it, second no one does 3 ws at once, one guy will ususally have 200tp, and the other guy barely breaks 100."
Answer: Its not possible to "kill a monster to(o) fast"...just not possible...the faster you kill them the better for XP Chains..."you(r) fighter has no tp for next fight"...if you mean "tank" by saying "fighter" then who gives a **** if they dont have TP..THEY ARE THE TANK....tanks arent expected to build too much TP anyways especially if they are a PLD...backup tanks and damage dealers yes...main tanks, no....."double MB is not worth it, second Mb pulls aggro not worth it" just read what you said a few times...and as far as 2nd MB pulling aggro...only if the main tank is someone called BALD TARU TARU maybe....a good tank wont have problems holding hate...I dont. "one guy will ususally have 200tp, and the other guy barely breaks 100"....and what is soooo bad about this? so you start the next fight in your XP Chain and let the person at 100% build to about 150% or so and he goes first hopefully...the strength of the SC dmg is measured by the dmg done by the 2nd WS in the chain from what i have read and experienced.
Secondly: "and when have you run your self out out of mp? i used to have 900mp then realized whats the point? you cant use all of it, even if you used all of it you would probly pull aggro. easiest expirment with how useful mp is just take off all your +mp then go out and lvl. see how many time you say damn i need another 500 mp. if you know how to cast your spells you dont need 1000mp."
Answer: Again I say...are you serious? Solo'ing or PT'ing for XP you want as much MP as possible if you have any spells whatsoever, especially healing ones. If you have 300MP even at lvl 40...if you have nuking spells you do NOT want to nuke and nuke and nuke and heal and heal and heal until you are drained of all MP every fight. That is how n00b BLMs die and DO take aggro. That is not how they are supposed to play their job. They are supposed to understand their spells and how it affects aggro...wait for other magic users to use some of their spells and spread the aggro around. I've had a TON of mp on some of my jobs...and I've ALWAYS said "damn...i wish i had 2x more MP than this"

After reading this whole thread, I would have to say BTT is one of the most arrogant and dumbest people I've ever seen on a message board. He ranks right up there with Samancer Deathmancer! The most enjoyable thing is how BTT argues with the level 75's about high level exp processes.Junun

I knida agree with BALD TARU TARU, people who are higher lvs act as though they know more about the game than everyone else and stuff. Umm..I'm not that high of a lv and I' sure as hell not stupid with the game. Also, I met with a guy who was working on his PLD, he was about lv 30, he didn't even know how to macro!!! He wasn't even provoking until my PT taught him how! Now, lv 30 isn't high, but he had to have gotten his WAR up plus a sub job, then he worked on his PLD, so altogether, we are looking at at least 75 lvs gained. He played the game for a while, and he was dumb as a door. Of course the higher lvs have more experience, but us people, who care about doing good in the game, do research and (trust me the game is pretty much common sense) learn as much as we can about the game. Now, there aren't many people like me, who know plenty about the game and is at a pretty low lv (I'm a lv 30 BLM). But there anren't many high lvs that know much about the game either. I know a lot of the high lvs that come on here are pretty smart, but I think the thing that pisses people off when you guys say something is when your attitude in the forum changes from this ^_^ to this >=|
If you were to explain things in a little kinder way, mabey people wouldn't hate you guys so much. And that goes the same for the low lvs.~`\~*~/`Life is a Dream, Death is the Alarm Clock`\~*~/`

almighty hoof, looks like u want to continue the arguement left off from the previous thread that was locked, there's reasons ppl are hating on BTT and why he has 17 warning points,
ignoring BTT since he's immature and not worth my time
play what you like, advantages and disadvantages for both jobs have been mentioned over and over, read the thread or at least skim through it before replying, and btw, you're all going to be high level eventually, so stop bashing on high lvl players helping out, it's like calling yourself names

I have no problem with the higher level people posting their experiences. It helps me learn what I have to do to be a good blm in the coming levels.
However, I wish they wouldn't shoot down some of the other viable subs. Yes, /rdm isn't as good as /whm, but let the people play what they want. They aren't seriously endangering the party (as they would if they subbed something like /drk), and whatever, let them be cool.
The only thing that annoys me about the lv75s is that they say that since certain things apply at their level, they say that it automatically refutes what we say has worked at our level. Are the strategies you use at lv75 the same that you used when you were lv10? Were they even neccessary? No - the game changes as you get higher in level, and that's what keeps it interesting. Instead of posting something that shoots down the /rdm, say how /whm is neccessary at upper levels for the reasons you stated, but that it could be viable at the lower levels. Don't just shoot down an idea because it doesn't work at lv75. I mean shit, if someone wants to, they could play ANYTHING from lv1 to lv25ish and have it work, so rather than calling people noobs, explain why /whm works at the upper levels, and explain when it changes.
I appreciate the upper levels, I just wish they weren't so quick to use the noob cannon. Yeah, we don't know how it works at lv75, we're not lv75. Take it easy, it's not the end of the world.
As for whoever called me some asinine name, look at my sig. I'm blm/whm as well (yes, sub 3 levels too low, I went on an exp spree with friends before break, and haven't played in a week. It'll be fixed after this weekend). I just don't think it's right that everyone flat out shoots /rdm down. They can still cure, and for a good long while, the -na's, and the bar-ra's are useless, so losing those isn't that big a deal until, from what I gather, around lv65.
Thanks for the advice, but please, be a little nicer to those of us who aren't lv75 (yet
