I was thinking the same thing. Wouldn't a Heel/Fight macro be enough to erase hate whenever the pet gets hit, or would that be too slow?

It'd be slow and tedius. It can be done but what I proposed just makes things easier all around. Not to mention heel has a timer on it so you might get screwed over that way.

yes indeed it does work but it is incredibly tedious.

You will do it alot solo on cape terrigan vs goblin rabbit links with other goblin rabbits.

However since there is a 10 second delay for each of those moves, your pet can and probably will go wake up whatever the blm slept.

Your pet will also continue to get hit till you release it which preculdes you from attacking again till the blm already slept it.

A lot of hassle and still can totally screw up.

So the proper order must go:

mob hits pet with AOE, you heel it before blm sleeps it, then attack your origional target. But as new enemies keep comming this becomes rather tedious and annoying. And of course Sic is completely useless too.

We totally need a sic II at lv 75 or something.

I think it all depends on what HNM's your fighting. I know what a fact that Tiamat fight, a BST is indespenceable, due to the high level mobs in the spawn area (Including a scorpion that will happily out-damage any melee fighter)

I cant talk for Dynamis, but i think that a BST would be just as much, if not more help than any other melee job with the right subjob. Sure they will be outdamaged, but with a pet, i'm sure the damage combined between the two of you will be greater than alot of melee (war/nin for example)

I've taken part in HNM fights as a BLM, and although it's nice to know that you are being helpful, that puts alot of extra pressure on you not to mess up, and i find myself not enjoying the fight as much as i think i could (bear in mind i am only level 65 blm)

I am personally levelling BST because i want to, i'm not all that bothered about end-game stuff, if it hits me too hard, i go back to BLM, but i play a job because i enjoy it, not because i might not be the most influential job at end-game. And anyway, like people have said, a BST for hate and link control could prove to be vital.

she has been lv 75 for months now if i remember correctly.

She is one of the main reason I keep my chin up in the tough times as a BST.
