interesting notice for /bsts

It's not really so bad that people can get BST benefits by subbing a 37BST. If you guys want to look at some jobs that really got shafted, look at WHM and NIN.

Many many many jobs sub WHM. Us, SMN, RDM, BLM, and there are always those stupid troll threads about */WHM > WHM/* in parties and so forth. We don't have to deal with that.

Same goes for NIN. I'd say 90% of them play it to 37 then thankfully hang it up as a finished blink sub. It's exactly what I'll be doing once I get BST to 74.

I think BST's just fine. My only complaint is that earning exp isn't fun. At all. Right now I'm exping in Kuftal and about the only thing that makes it fun is finding a coffer every single time I get a key.. and you know how often those things drop there. 10 coffers so far: map, gil gil gil gil gil gil gil gil... jadeite. >< The coffer hunting is kinda neat because it's a bit of competition against those around me and it's not yet another lizard against yet another crab for yet another chain-4 for yet another hour.

I really fear for my job and family when game makers figure out how to make grinding fun.

LoL I solo NMs Easier, faster and more efficient as NIN/BST then as BST/WHM or even NIN/??? (in areas with high lvl Pets), it's sick.

One of the main problems with BST as a main job is , switching pets leaves you open to get your mob stolen (yellow name).

For instance, when i camp NMs as NIN/BST if i see people coming and they look like they are gona steal when i lose claim i simply fight the NM straight up with a pet as asistant damage. The NM can barely hit me (evasion bonus), i dont lose claim and I have all the abilites and strenghts as BST main does (use potions ,antidotes) plus the Evasion and utsusemi power of the Ninja.

My BST main is 72 which is probably the reason for my high success on charm rate. However CHR and Lightstaff is extremly important. I have +22 CHR which brings me to about 82 total chr. Fail charm rate is like 5%. Lmao why kill stuff as a BST main and get your mob stolen? This is what pisses me off about bst.

Having all the strenghts and abilities of bst AND nin is pretty overpowered if ya ask me. RDM/BST is probably sick as well. O wells, Ill continue to take advantage of it since BST was hell to raise to 72.

interesting.. i gotta try RDM/BST one of these days. So basically i should be able to solo thing pretty easily with RDM plus all the spells and a pet.

If you mean Courier Carrie, you cant use it on sub. They are summoned through an item equipped in the ammo slot, and it is BST only equip. Therefore, only pure BST can use.

DRG65/BST1.

Was wandering along in qufim charming everything and ran into a rdm/bst. We both waited for kraken, along the time with which she claimed I would never be able to charm it whatsoever.

Kraken pops, and first try I charm it. The silence from her was priceless.

But yeah, I've been contemplating BST for awhile. As a DRG, I never get parties whatsoever....so why not be a job where I don't NEED parties at all?!

I don't see why it should be nerfed considering BST is a SOLO job and you don't have to compete with any other jobs as other classes do.
Usually when something should be considered to be nerfed is because someone can obtain all the abilities through the jobs by subbing it. Making it more appealing to parties but harder for those who use those same subs as a main.
Again, this doesn't even apply to BST's, knowing full well BST's can give two rat's asses about LFG...

So why not leave it be and let it help those who spend hours with their seek up?
