Does Galka mages exist?

There's a great Galka Whm/Smn on Bahamaut who's got his full AF and can't pt with me anymore because he's too high lvl. I can't remember his name right now, but he's a great guy.

Galka Bards on the other hand are not that great. ("I don't need a Monster Signa, my Chr is fine"...ahem, bull5hit)

My biggest gripe about Galka mages are their lack of +stats or -enmity. Sure they can load up on tons of of +mp and have a good amout, but they lose the +MND, +INT or -enmity. Oh, and there's the enhancing of magic skills from AF/relic too.

A taru BLM can wear +INT rings, while a Galka has to use +MP rings. Sure you can get good MP, but mages with +stats are better, IMO. Nothing as bad as a resisted MB.

Hey Elesirdur...been a while. Yea...there are some really awesome galka mages on Bahamut. I'll try and get some screenshots of one in action

the thing is I only see myself has a Galka.Humes are too basic,mithra are only girls,elvaan too .... and the tarus too weak.The reason I want to be a galka is because they have more vitality.

Ummm...excuse me? FYI, Galkas can make damn fine Bards.

Well I'm a Tarutaru Warrior, and I've seen plenty of Tarutaru Dark Knights, Paladins, Dragoons, and Samurais. A Galka hoping to play a mage-type job isn't any different. Go for it!

I know a number of level 75 Galka mages. They're rare, but it's certainly doable. Sure, a Galka BLM isn't going to nuke as hard as a Taru BLM at the same level, but when your base spell damage is 1200+, is 50 damage reaaally that much to sweat?

Galka WHM do just fine.. after a while, max MP makes less and less difference, and the MND score doesn't really do much either for WHM since they rarely enfeeble post-50.

RDM, SMN... seen them all at high levels, and they seem to do OK.

Just be prepared to shell out LOTS of money for gear, it's not cheap to get the gear and food you need to make your life less painful as a Galka mage.

On my server, there is a 70~ if not higher SUBLESS Galka WHM. Definitely proving that the sky can be reached.
