That's the case for you, but the thread starter may not have any access to them for all you know.

I've played in lots of pt while leveling up my RDM where I was the primary or only healer and never had a problem with MP. After 41 mana is never a problem for me with refresh and convert. With both balad and refresh your PLD can mostly take care of himself, but has other healers if needed.

At level 41 RDM/WHM, I have more MP than any non Tarutaru white mage, thanks to a boatload of +MP gear. My healing skill is also capped.

But I still have trouble playing main healer, even with a paladin tank. When I play main healer, that also means I have to cast a minimum of debuffs. Usually I try to cast Slow and Paralyze, but anything more and I'd be risking my MP that might be needed for Cures.

Dia II or Bio II becomes a big nono - when I'm not the main healer, I have no problems casting these high MP spells.

Being a Tarutaru helps if your red mage is your main healer.

I dunno...I still stand by my opinion that a red mage and bard are redundant, and that you should drop one or the other for a white mage.

no down time, us melee wreaked havok, huge MB's...I like this mage setup best (^^)b

drop the rdm if you can find brd then <.<

brd can use dispel
they can use balled1+2
accuracyup+attackup for all melee
and if aggro or link they can sleep mobs easy

but why you need whm?
if you have ballad1+2+refreash you can be main healer easy
hehe i saw rdm/smn before with equipment that give add refreash effect + smn auto refreash
