WAR/THF vs. WAR/MNK vs. PLD/WAR

I play with a WHM and RDM and we occasionally pick up other players, but mostly play as a small team. Right now I'm 20 WAR / 10 THF.

I'm the tank and more or less will be into the forseeable future, and I've identified three options.

The WAR/MNK has the most HP and the most offense(?) I think.

The WAR/THF has better defense with the THF evasion stuff, and can get extra plat/drops with the THF abilities.

The PLD/WAR does less damage, but tanks and holds aggro better.

That's how I understand it at least. Right now the dilemma is, PLD/WAR seems the best tank, but is it worth the damage output loss in a 3 man group? Right now the RDM does most of the damage.

What would you recommend, and why?

There's a lot of role shifts between level 20 and level 70, as different jobs get new abilities at certain levels.

WAR/MNK is pretty good up until about level 40/20. This is a solid choice for your next 10 levels or so. You really don't get that much after level 30, however.

WAR/THF is not good as a primary tank. You get the Evasion Bonus at THF10, and not much else.

PLD/WAR is the best damage taker in the business. While the damage output is low, you get much better abilities to hold aggro, making this choice the best all-around tank after level 30/15 (some may argue that NIN/WAR are technically better at avoiding damage, but I always see them having trouble holding aggro, which makes them less effective without a really good THF).

WAR/THF - Good combo for gaining money, items, and soloing somewhat

That's the way I see it at least.
